I've replaced these twice in six months, but something else has to be wrong now but I can't seem to figure it out. After checking the fan motor, I found that it has been very sluggish for several years due to wear, grime, As a result of the increased load caused by the fan motor, I noticed the fan resistor was repeatedly burning It is now working fine since it was replaced with an Amazon fan motor (also found on Amazon). Knowing I won't cause an electrical fire in my engine bay also helps me sleep better at night. In the event you have already replaced the resistor more than once, check the fan motor as well. You should take note that replacing the fan motor in these vehicles is a major hassle. In order to reach the screws on the motor housing, you must remove or move a lot of stuff. You still need some extensions or small hands in order to reach the bottom screws once the ECU and coolant reservoir are removed.

The fan speed 1 and 2 settings were taken care of by this replacement part, which was a breeze to install
