It was fairly simple with a little determination, and I probably saved $60-$70. It cost me $80 to do it myself, and it fit perfectly in my 2006 Ford Fusion.

Ford Fusions equipped with AUTOMATIC air conditioning are not eligible

I had to return this because it did not state that this blower resistor was only for vehicles with manual controls. A different blower resistor, much more expensive than this one, is required for my 2008 Ford Fusion with AUTOMATIC control capability. FYI.

This wasn't my issue in the end, but it was a quick fix to figure out what was wrong. Keep in mind that this only applies to manual air conditioning, not automatic air conditioning. There's a lot more to the automatic air conditioning unit.

I couldn't tell if it was the housing or not because it didn't fit perfectly. It was delivered on time and was ready to use when it arrived. I would purchase this item again.
