Questions & Answers

When mounting the steering gear box, what size and type of thread bolts should be used?

many years ago that I had to change my steering gear, and I sold that cart. I suggest you remove one of the bolts and take it to a hardware store so they can confirm

Do I need to replace the tie rod ends at the same time, or does the steering assembly take care of all the slack?

Get another person to turn the steering wheel quickly left and right while you look for play in the joint at the rod end. It gets worn out when you play.

What is the pre-installed condition of this rack Is it greasy?

In short, yes. As for me, I had greased up.

Sloppy steering has been fixed with a heavy duty steering gear box
5/5

Several months ago, I purchased a Golf Cart (also known as the "Bull") from Sammy Sosa's bodyguard Sadly, we did not get the chance to test drive it before loading it onto the truck because it was raining and we had seen a video of it being driven prior to picking We both noticed that it had considerable sway in the steering when we took it for a ride for the first time Although this isn't an issue at low speeds, at 22 mph, it makes me wonder if there's an issue This is particularly true considering my youngest daughter (12 years old) will eventually drive the car. When I looked at the linkages under the cart, I concluded it must be the steering assembly and did a lot of research looking for a replacement under $200. I found this advertised on Amazon and purchased it. Yesterday was the day we installed it and it took about 2 1/4 One of the most challenging parts of the job was removing the steering column because there was a cosmetic panel covering one of the bolts. Following those steps, the most difficult task was removing the ball joints which I was able to do because I purchased a tool to assist me. I just liked how snug they were. With the exception of the two ball joints, this product was assembled quite seamlessly (only 3 bolts attached it to the cart). There was a problem with slop with this product so they are very heavy and rugged. It is in transit to us now, which will increase speed by about 8 mph. I told my son that we wouldn't purchase an upgraded motor until this problem was resolved (now the upgraded motor is in transit to us). There is one thing that I have noticed, however (and it has nothing to do with the steering gear box), and that is that the front tires seem a little toed out. It wasn't until we put everything back together that we realized this. It would probably be best to pop the ball joints and make some minor adjustments to the arms to make this right.

It's like buying a brand new EZGO 19 years later! Three EZGOs in a row for me
5/5

Each of the three was bought for dirt cheap without running. In the end, the steering was awful, as with all of them. Having just installed a new gearbox assembly for my limousine, I decided to get it started right away. When I was driving my cart, it used to drift left to right at full speed There was sloppiness in the steering. This thing handles so well now that it took less than an hour to install. It would have been good to do this on all the other ones as well.

This is an easy to install extension! We took our time, took a look at the steering system completely and spent about two hours. The EZGO TXT is still as fast as new after using this product. Good afternoon, mate! The answer is in! WE ARE THE GOLF CART KING WE MAKE GOLF CARTS DRIVE LIKE NEW AGAIN!.

The cart is like new again after it has been restored
5/5

Installed this a couple of years ago, but should have done it sooner. It is as smooth as if it were a brand new cart.
