There are a few things to note about this strut brace in particular. The build quality is excellent, the design is simple, and Whiteline customer service was extremely accommodating when I had a problem. br>br>The most important point to note for those of us in the United States is that: The body style of some markers (I believe Japan and Australia) and markets changed in 2005, while the body style of others (I believe Japan and Australia) and markets changed in 2004. This means that if you have a 2004 Outback that looks like a 2001-2002 model, you can use it as a replacement for the 2001-2002 model. Models from the year 2003 This item is not suitable for your vehicle. The KSB550 (the brace designed for the 2003 Outback) will be required for those vehicles. This is the right product for you if your 2004 Outback looks like a 2005. You can also measure the distance between the strut mount bolts. This is the right product for you if your bolts are 134mm long from center to center. If it's closer to 121, it's a good sign. If your diameter is 25mm, you'll need the KSB550. br>br>My only other issue occurred when it came time to return the product, which cost me roughly half the price of the product due to the fact that shipping costs were not refunded. (br>br>Overall, Whiteline is an excellent brand; however, due to the circumstances, I was unable to award it five stars. Just don't make the same mistake I did if you want to have a 5-star experience.

I had low expectations for how well strut tower braces would work in my 2005 Subaru Legacy 2, but I was pleasantly surprised by the significant improvement. After this was installed, I was able to achieve a maximum of 5 GT. On turn in, the steering response is noticeably faster and sharper than before. It can be adjusted, and the fit is perfect. The only reason it doesn't get a perfect score is that it has a very plain appearance. That is all there is to it.
