Questions & Answers

Is this for the front? Does it work on either side? Does it matter if it's for the left or right?

No, this does not work on either side, and I'm not sure if this is a right or left part. Moog K90455 is used on one side, and Moog K90454 is used on the other.

The number 6118269A is printed on mine. I'm not sure if this is the left or right side because a lightning storm hit while I was replacing them. ?

I'm not sure, but it's pretty obvious which one belongs on which side because the incorrect one will not fit.

Is this for the front? Does it work on either side? Does it matter if it's for the left or right?

This part can be used on either the passenger or the driver's side of the vehicle.

Is it necessary to greese it before installing it? Also, how often should it be greesed once it's been installed?

Hello, I'm not sure if it was greased or not, but when I installed it on a vehicle, I greased it, and I usually oil it. I'm going to make some greese before the winter, in the hopes that it will help.

On the Civic 2001, it was simple to install
5/5

This is what I put on my Civic 2001 DX. BTW, Moog has changed the design (I confirmed this with Moog Customer Service, and the one I received differs from the picture of the product on the Amazon page). People have complained that having a grease nipple that isn't at 90 degrees is a problem. It isn't an issue in my case. It isn't pre-assembled in any way. greased, so you'll need to go out and buy a grease gun. Tip: br>1) Do not grease it prior to installation because the grease will leak out and cause a mess. br>2) The tightening torque is 29 ft-lbs. lbbr>3) You may need to jack up the sway bar on one side to align the bolts with the sway bar hole. br>4) after two oil changes, a single lubrication It will happen once a year in my case. I'll make a note of it in my calendar for next year.

The quality is poor
3/5

I put these on my 2004 Civic because the originals were still in good shape and weren't making any noise, but I thought it would be a good idea to replace them. One begins to clunk after only a year! "Nah, it can't be the links, those are new," I reasoned in my head. I moved it with my hand, and it was indeed loose. It sounded as if it came out of the factory completely dry. They didn't even make it until the next oil change, when I planned to grease them up! br>br>Don't waste your money on Moog because the quality has declined. They also have poor customer service; I've attempted to contact them twice about this issue and have received no response. br>br>Buy original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and get it done right the first time.

Sway Bar Link Kit K90454 from Moog
5/5

Make sure your end links are replaced in pairs. This item is for the LEFT (K90454) side of your vehicle. It's K90455 for the front RIGHT. br>br>If your car squeaks a lot when you hit a small bump, it's most likely your sway bar. br>br>First, double-check that your bushings are properly greased and that they haven't worn down from contact with the bar. If your bushings are worn out, consider replacing them with Energy Suspension bushings with grease zerk fittings. They'll last longer because they'll be lubricated, and you won't have to disassemble them to grease them. Next, inspect the end links of your sway bar. If your end links' boots are ripped, you'll need to replace them. br>br>These end links are noticeably heavier and about 2x thicker right out of the box, allowing them to be used with larger aftermarket sway bars. They also come with a large rubber boot that is greased but can hold a lot more grease than my factory ones. br>These also have grease zerk fittings, so you can grease them instead of replacing them if the grease wears off over time. br>br>The end links have a different installation system than the factory ones, which required a hex key and a crescent wrench. br>These use a standard nut, and all you need to install them is something to hold the other end. br>There is zero chance that you will strip the end link, which saves you a lot of time and effort. br>br>I put these on my Honda Civic Coupe from 2003.

Quality assurance is in doubt
3/5

I bought both the driver's side and the passenger's side parts; the driver's side part came with all the parts and worked perfectly after some additional grease. I gave it two stars because the passenger side gasket had a pin hole in it that I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't added more grease. As seen in the illustration. The most inconvenient aspect of Moog parts is that they use bolts that aren't the same size as the Honda part they're replacing. Moog would use a 15mm wrench if the Honda part demanded a 14mm wrench. That was an inconvenient and unnecessary change when replacing the struts, control arms, and sway bar links.

The part was easy to put together and squared
5/5

Moog's contribution is excellent. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat, but with their 1,000,000-mile warranty, I doubt I'll have the chance anytime soon. The part fit perfectly, and the squared, rather than hexed, nut is much easier to grasp than the rounded nut that came with my stock link and tighten with a 14mm wrench. Pre-installed grease fittings were also included. I appreciate the fact that these self-contained units have been installed, which I appreciate because adding these self-contained The rear links I bought not long ago blew out the starters. br>br>This part was for a 2003 Honda Civic LX and was made with a 6 pt. The font is 14mm wide and 6pt tall. For installation, you'll need a 16mm wrench. A 12pt. I didn't have a 16mm camera on hand, so I couldn't use it.

The 2005 Honda CR-V is a perfect fit
5/5

The 2005 Honda CR-V is a perfect fit. Front Left V What a difference these replacements made in the ride. Since the Lower Control arm with compliance bushing was replaced with only marginal ride improvement, it was initially assumed that the struts were worn. Compliant bushings had to be replaced because they were worn out. It's a good thing the struts are still functional. These bar links are thicker and more durable than the originals. Moog quality is very good. I'm hoping they will last a long time.

Because the nut can be tightened by, the shaft is thicker and the design is superior
5/5

Much better quality than the replacement parts and other sway bar links I've seen. The shaft is thicker, and the design is superior because the nut can be tightened by using an open end wrench rather than an allen wrench to secure the shaft. When it comes time to replace the part, the allen wrench design frequently fails due to rust, making a simple task difficult.

Much better than the stock option
5/5

It's a million times better than the default link. After it broke last year, I replaced it with a stock piece on the passenger side. That's a good choice that will last a few more years. I decided to buy this as a replacement after the original on the driver's side broke this year. It's a lot more substantial, and the grease fittings are a nice touch. I have a feeling I won't have to replace this for a long time. Although the grease fittings point in an awkward direction, you can work around it.
