Questions & Answers

Is this a product made in the United States?

They are no longer manufactured in the United States, but rather in China. (br>br>The current Moog is nothing more than Chinese parts packaged in a fancy box.)

Will it fit a torsion-bar torsion-bar torsion bar torsion bar torsion bar torsion bar torsion bar torsion bar tor ?

They'll fit in the front of your truck, according to Amazon. I've always assumed Moog was made in the United States, but the sway bar bushings were made in China. If that matters to you, I'm not sure. It does to me, and I've discovered that almost everything is manufactured in China.

Is this product compatible with a 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer?

Hello Nelson, for that vehicle's front sway bar, this is the correct link kit. If both sides are required, order a quantity of 2br>Bruce

Is this going to be for the two of them? Although the term "kit" suggests this, the product details make no mention of it. Please be more specific. ?

It's a single sway bar link, not a pair of them. They call it a "kit" because it includes all of the components for one side. Bushings, washers, and a nut are all included with the bolt.

Cutting costs hasn't been pleasant
3/5

The barrel nut design on these is one of my favorites because it makes installation so much easier. Moog, on the other hand, has relocated to the hollow(!). ) bushings, and switched to a Chinese manufacturer. After returning home from a trip, one of the bushings failed within six months and went missing. (The link was still attached, so it must have split in half and fallen off. ) It's worth noting that I bought a few of these sets in the past, from 2006 to now, and they were all made in the United States. Up until the most recent purchase earlier this year, the bushings were made and contained solid bushings.

Advertising that is deceptive
3/5

This item was not made in the United States. Although it appears to be genuine, the product description on Amazon states that it is made in the United States, but the parts I received were made in China. To each his own, but I am wary of car parts made in China, particularly when they are sold at American prices. I found and purchased the same stabilizer bar links made in the United States from a different aftermarket parts manufacturer, and I will be returning the Chinese parts. I've read and heard that MOOG now makes parts all over the world, which is fine, but let customers know if the part isn't made in the United States up front. Don't make a big deal about it, and instead send a Chinese-made part. All I ask is for advertising to be truthful.

MOOG has devolved into a complete waste of time
3/5

Bushings are hollow and will most likely split if they are not replaced. I read the directions carefully and correctly set the tension. The reason for the two stars is that one was fine and the other appears to be a shorter bolt with the end chopped off and shoved into the box by Moog. The thread on a unique end nut was also messed up. On brand new parts, I had to hand file the thread back to its original size, run a die over it, and tap the nut. Although the nut has been squashed to act as a lock nut, I was unable to thread the bolt through it. There are approximately 1. 5" long. MOOG was once a fantastic show. Save money by purchasing Chinese no-name end links instead of name-brand Chinese links.

This is an excellent product that is simple to set up
5/5

The Moog K700542 Stabilizer Bar Link Kit restored the handling of my 1998 Explorer and, when combined with the new front shock absorbers, eliminated the back and forth rocking when changing lanes, etc. br>br>They were relatively simple to install; Getting rid of the old links was the most difficult and time-consuming part - Because the bolts were completely rusted to the metal spacer tubes, I had to use a reciprocating saw to cut through the old bolts to remove them from the sway bar, even though they were both broken off at the bottom where they should have been connected to the lower control arm. And once I got the old ones out of the way, installing the new ones was a breeze. I was particularly fond of the new shoulder nuts, which made threading the bolts a breeze.

Garbage
3/5

I bought these because the previous pair of sway bar links I had on my Ranger had rubber bushings that only lasted a year before cracking and splitting (to be fair, I think I over-inflated them). The polyurethane bushings appeared to be an improvement over the steel bushings (which had been torqued). As I drove down a straight, relatively smooth road, I had no idea what the pop and then pinging noise was, but it turned out to be one of my week's problems. Sway bar links from an old Moog had broken. I initially assumed it was a one-time occurrence and ordered a replacement. A week later, the other side snapped under similar driving conditions, and then the last link snapped a few days later. I could understand if they snapped after a few months of hard driving in the winter or after some serious off-roading. They broke after I babyed my truck for a few weeks and went off the road. I replaced these with generic auto store ones that have a much thicker bolt than these (sorry, I never bothered to measure actual size) and have had no problems with them after nearly three times the mileage. If all of the bushings hadn't gone flying on the road, I might have thought about re-installing them. I'm going to use them on my current links.

I've never installed a better set of stabilizer bar links
5/5

I've installed numerous sets of these replacement bars links in various vehicles over the years, but these were by far the best; MOOG is known for producing high-quality auto parts, and these were no exception. For the same vehicle, different lengths are available. Simply measure the originals' length and place an order for the same. It's usually simple to set up, but a little fiddling with the jack usually suffices. In addition, the cost was extremely reasonable. The price of the original Fords was a LOT more. MOOG, on the other hand, outperforms the competition in terms of both cost and quality. It comes highly recommended!.

It's quite effective
5/5

It is very simple to set up. However, the fact that I do this for a living may be beneficial. But it also means I'll be able to compare it to other things. It is much easier to install because of this design.

Great product! It was replaced with some other items that had become obsolete due to age. It was a pleasant ride.
