Questions & Answers

looking at the pictures, this stabilizer seems to move higher and out of the way when compared to the stock unit. To do this, do you need a relocation kit?

There is no need to install this mod but it will make the Jeep drive better. I have mine on medium and I feel much better since it keeps the Jeep stationary better. I would recommend the high for rock crawling, and the low for beach driving.

Does it seem as if you need any more Does the software need to be installed on the ?

Several pieces of incremental hardware are included in the kit. But those OEM bolts do need to be reused for the hinge mount. A supply of Loctite is not included. That is important for you. It is my pleasure to I was able to use the OEM tire mounts with 33" tires with no problems. Mount did not need to be adjusted. There was a lot of OEM.

What kind of tires work with my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara? Is that okay?

Without a doubt! This one is better than stock. -There are 3 settings you can change manually! There are three levels of firmness soft, medium, and firm. I've added a photo of my Jeep Wrangler jk Sahara jk 2017

How much will it cost me to buy this for ?

If it is going to fit, it should be fine I put one on my Jeep Wrangler 2017

The more you go, the more you stay stable
5/5

Stabilizers like this one work amazingly well, especially over the stock ones. The knob at the end of the shaft at the end of this stabilizer makes it simple to adjust. It takes only one turn of the knob for you to transition from a loose stock feeling to a firm feeling On my 35" Toyo tires at the moment, I've found that the medium setting is optimal. As I drove down the road at high speeds, this stabilizer corrected a lot of my wandering. On top of all that, the piece of equipment looks pretty awesome!.

This product seems good quality, but the torque specifications on the small M6 Socket Head Machine Screws may be incorrect
4/5

My 2012 Jeep Sahara has just been fitted with this. Make life easier by using a Dremel cut off tool to remove the old stock tie rod attachment. It will save you time and work when prying it There were no issues, except the instructions on the inside of the lid said to torque the bolts to 15 foot pounds, which is 180 inch pounds. That is what I tried, and sure enough, one of the stainless steel A2 07 Grade 2 M6 screws was broken off They are screws that have a diameter of 26mm, which go through the hole in the cap. Allied Titanium Grade 5 M6 screws have replaced all four M6 metric machine screws. I checked the torque for grade 2 M6 metric bolts and found that it should have been between 55 and 80 inch pounds, the lesser being if the machine screws were lubricated first. It is pricey, but they are rated at 138,000 PSI tensile strength, and 344 Brinnell hardness, in contrast to Grade 2 stainless, which is only 50,000 PSI tensile strength, and 200 Brinnell hardness. Allied Titanium, the manufacturer of the titanium machine screws I will replace them with, and TeraFlex, the manufacturer of the titanium flex shafts, have contacted me. It will not rust and will not be affected by salt and it will be lighter, stronger and more expensive. The max torque of the upgraded machine screws will be given to me by Allied. Considering there are two set screws on the cap, it is possible that they are torqued at 15 feet pounds. The pitch of the four M6 cap screws is significantly larger than that of the four M8 cap Each of the six screws is highlighted in red in the picture, and the directions say to tighten all six screws Weighs approximately lbs. As well, I read in the product reviews on another web site that one of the reviewers broke off one of the four screws when torqueing. This is what I used Because of the locktite, I did not even need to torque to 180 mm. The weight of the object is 15 feet or 15 pounds. The lower torque was applied using wet oil and lower lube. As soon as I get the new machine screws installed, I will update this post. In the meantime, I am waiting for the parts to arrive. I may change my rating later, but for now I rate only 4 stars. The directions are poor and the torque specs were overthe top. I am updating My favorite part of the stabilizer is how quiet it is. It sounds like the torque specs for the four M6 bolts are too high I wouldn't use them at more than 120 lbs. Using the grade 5 titanium M6 screws, I was able to tighten them to 15 pounds per square inch, and the large set screws (2) to 40 pounds per square inch. No problems at all. Make use of the RED locator There is no way to remove the screws without a heat gun if the screws are glued. Once I have it on the new tie rod, I may post some pictures of the stabilizer.

An investment that is worth every penny! A Jeep lifted to its lofty height can wander
5/5

This stabilizer will put an end to that! With the AEV 4, I find medium setting to be just right. A 5 inch lift and 35" Toyo Open Country AT2 Extreme tires have transformed the vehicle. It handles and drives like a beast!.

Well done, Stout
5/5

This is a firm and sturdy piece of real estate right here, the firm setting may take a little getting used to, but once you get used to it, it's great. The adjustability, ease of use, and control it has provided my rig has been exceedingly pleasing. I have not yet traveled too far from the beaten path with it, but I am sure it will make itself known before I throw it in the old parts pile. The title of best stabilizer in my opinion has been stolen from Fox by Falcon. I thought Fox had made the highest impression on me with their stabilizer, but Falcon has definitely outdone Fox in my eyes and in my.

What a shock
5/5

The item I purchased was fully understood to be a dampener, such that it would help you get rid of wobble when driving on potholes or rough terrain, especially if you were using bigger tires. The effect I didn't expect, however, was the extra advantage it would provide just for day-to-day driving once the system was in place. This is amazing. Oh my gosh. When I knew I would have experienced such a great feeling when driving I would have made this my first installation on my Jeep. As an effect of the secondary order, I noticed how good the steering was, comparable to a car or SUV. This does NOT remove the slop (left and right play in the steering wheel), but once the slop is gone and the wheel begins to turn, the steering feels MUCH more responsive! A few notes If you want to really see what it can do, put it on "Firm", drive for about an hour or so on the highway or side roads, then put it on It might take you a while to forget how it felt driving the Jeep to begin with, but once you do, you will never look back. My favorite part of the day is how incredible it feels. As an added plus, I just finished two trips of more than 9 hours back to back on the highway I felt I was back DIRECTIONS FOR INSTALLATION You won't have too much trouble. A bit of time will need to be spent on two parts. I'm having a hard time taking off the old metal brace. This is a difficult game to bend too much Make sure you have the wrenches you need). Remove the main bolt that goes through and replace the one that it goes through The Jeep will need to be lifted to relieve pressure on the My driveway was the location where I did it on my own. It's super simple aside from those two things. It is my hope that this review will be useful to Usually I don't write these sorts of things, but for this part, I just had to do it. Hands down, worth every penny.

This is the best available It is probably the best steering stabilizer that you can buy
5/5

The shock style stabilizers are far inferior to this one. This is my opinion an absolute must if your tires are more than 35 inches. You will feel like you are driving it like stock again on the road, and you won't feel harsh impacts on the trail. As a result, the adjustments are effective. There is already some interest in this unit among my.

This is a much better option than the stock option
5/5

It provides some clearance, and it is A stock stabilizer is quite a pain to remove. By using a long bolt, a set of nuts, and some washers, I was able to stretch the stock bracket so I could slide it off on the passenger side. Adjusting it is easy, just turn the knob to.
