It is crucial to pay attention to the pinion angle. If you would like, I can search for that information. These are likely to work very poorly on the back. It would probably be best if the ones you use were adjustable

In order to lift my 2016 Jeep JKUR by 4", I just ordered a mopar lift kit. Will the caster angle be corrected for that lift if this is installed?

On my wife's 2012 JK with a lift kit, 3" in front, 2" in back, I mounted a lift kit. The rear of the vehicle is 5". Getting the second hole lined up again only took me a few seconds, so I think there is plenty of room for a 4" screw.

In order to rectify issues related to the drive shaft angle, they are intended only for the front axle. You may want to consider a lower control arm that can be adjusted depending on the size of your lift. There is a rear drop bracket available from Metal Cloak if you have them already installed on your truck.

If you have wandering steering on your JK, this simplest adjustment will fix it
5/5

You can fix your lifted Jeep Wrangler by doing this if you're driving it like a drunken jerk or herding cats down the road. The constant wandering and inconsistent steering is caused by the out of whack caster. I've tried everything else, including the over-sized steering gear box. By adjusting my 6 degrees of separation to as close to a 5 degree caster as I could, I achieved a closer separation than I could have guaranteed. When I first purchased this drop, it had a 3 degree caster, but I was able to adjust the caster to about a 4 degree position with the help of a pipe wrench and a jack. I felt much better after that, but I still had wandering issues. I installed this kit and changed the pivot point until I was able to achieve a 5 degree turn. This fixed my JK's wandering and also helped to soften the ride back to what it was like stock. I really like my PSC steering gear for the extra power, but it didn't solve the darting back and forth between the lines that was a bit freaky. There is a fix for wandering steering in this post. Ensure you reach the 5-point mark as soon as possible The best results are obtained by castering 6 degrees. There will be a huge impact if you increase your education by even 1 degree.

A must-have for my 2 year old
5/5

The lift height is 5 inches. In a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I lifted the front wheel by a few inches The 5" American Expeditionary Vehicle lift is available for rent. Because I was worried about maintaining good highway performance, I performed the small lift. It did feel like I was wobbling and darting at highway speeds after I had the AEV lift. In the first few minutes post installation of the Rancho Geo brackets, the wobble and darting were completely eliminated. With this product, I am very happy, but I have a difficult time being pleased.

Jeeps lifted from the ground need this accessory
5/5

A pair of these was installed on my wife's 2017 JKU after it was raised in the air by two inches. The lift is 5 inches. In the days that followed installing the lift, I noticed that the Jeep was wandering all over the road. That wasn't something I could accept. Obviously you don't need caster correction with a 2. You will hear a lot of people argue that you don't need it. The people who lift a Jeep assume that loose steering characteristics is exactly what a lifted Jeep should feel like. After installing these brackets, the Jeep feels just like it did when it was stock which I am much more at ease driving my family around Installing the software was easy and took only a few minutes. The tires and wheels don't need to be taken off. It takes 5 hours. It is actually better to leave the tires and wheels on and to not move the Jeep. In the event the control arm holes don't line up, you can put a wheel chock in front of your tire and slowly pull forward, shifting the axle to the rear instead of trying to pry it open The price, ease of installation, construction, and function of these brackets make them a best buy.

The only problem is that they do not work 100% of the time
5/5

This type of control arm cost me much less than a $1k set of The do what they are supposed to do, but if you remove them, they could cause problems It is common for them to get beaten up on the road. The one thing to be sure about them is that they are very sturdy. That's to say, they're obscenely robust. In comparison with bolt-together units, they are significantly more durable. You can get your pinion angle/caster corrected if you have a 1-inch diameter pinion An extra 5 inches in height. A deviation from that point will result in them being out of adjustment. There has been a noticeable improvement in the way drivers behave on the road.

This is excellent

The exact same thing that was Having my 2" Mopar lift installed and corrected the caster is a great alternative to a shop Hardware is all there is to install it. My JKU is a 2018 model and I didn't have to make any cuts at all. As my wife helped me roll the axle into place, I did not need a pry bar or anything like that. The revised version However, we had a lot of trouble torquing some of those difficult bolts.

Unlike rough country's version, this version is solid thick steel, welded rather than bolted together

It seems that my wife's JK with a 4 inch lift has a bump steer issue. It wasn't until I realized the caster/pinion angle had been set incorrectly that I realized the problem. Due to the fact that this is a Mall Crawler I decided just to put in the drop brackets since it is not adjustable. This fix corrected all my bump steer issues with XYZ. My only suggestion would be that since you remove and re-install Install the factory hardware first, then Rancho's bolts in the lower brackets. It would have been nice if the bolt sizes were all the same. Took a lot of extra size wrenches and sockets to complete the job. Rancho might have benefitted from a bit of forethought in this arena. If there is a con, it is the fact that it is not very forward looking.

Now go ahead and do it! We can assure you that you won't I bought a jku in the same way many others before me did

When I was driving on the highway, I had to deal with the "flighty" steering and windy feeling. During the planning phase of an 800 mile road trip from Utah to California, I realized I had a problem I had to fix. These drop brackets went in the second hole from the top of my zone 3 inch lift, and it made all the difference. It was immediately evident that the bump quality was of the highest quality and sending the jeep over speed bumps My opinion about these brackets was confirmed after 29 hours of driving on 80 and 5 pulling a 14 foot trailer. A fix for the Jeep's "flighty" steering allowed the vehicle to drive more confidently on the road. Don't hesitate to buy this bracket if you are on the fence about You will see right away that this $150 investment is well worth it the second you back out of the driveway for a test drive. If I had known they were so great, I would have purchased a ranch lift with them the moment I saw them!.
