The shock is stamped with the part number RS55264, despite the fact that the box says it's a Rancho RS5410 RS5000 Series shock. My application is on my 2004 F250 Super Duty Pickup, and it's a steering stabilizer shock. The compressed value is 15 1/4, while the open value is 24 1/2. I hope this has been of assistance.
The RS5000 shock, part number RS5410, is white; Rancho's silver shocks are the RS9000XL shocks, which cost around $110 each.

I found it odd that the OEM box was open on one end and was placed inside another box for shipping. The end of the OEM box opened when I pulled it out, and the parts spilled into the shipping box. Until after I installed it on the truck, I didn't give it much thought. The silicone boot was nowhere to be found! br>A red boot is shown in the photo, but none was included in the box. Someone apparently only needed the boot, so it was removed from the box before it was shipped. I don't use the boots, but they should have come with the steering stabilizer or been available at a reduced price. It was a little disappointing.
It's possible that this is, or was, a Rancho product; however, it could also be a refurbished part (spray painted) or something completely different. My truck is equipped with Rancho shocks. They don't look anything like this steering stabilizer.
It came with everything I needed for my 2005 Excursion 4x4 and came with everything I needed. It performs far better than my original, which has 118K miles on it. It also appears to be in excellent condition. The lack of any kind of instruction is why I docked a star. Not a single thing. There was no picture of one installed on the box. I realize this isn't rocket science and is one of the easier things to do to a vehicle, but I also realize that for a company like Rancho, including some torque values, hardware orientation, and what people should do with that big spacer is even easier.
The red bushings seen in the photos are not present on the shocks. The bushings have been painted and are starting to peel away. The shock's white paint barely hides the metal underneath. In the box, one of the Rancho stickers has been folded and ruined. I'll be returning these shocks because they're of poor quality.
Rancho shocks had been on my 2002 Ford F350 for 17 years when they finally failed. Now that I have new Ranchos, I'm having a blast riding them!.
Made a big difference, much less wandering and oversteering on any type of road, direct fit on my 2000 F350 with no modifications needed, 10 minute fix for the single steering stabilizer.
It was difficult to determine which way to install the boot; I'm fairly certain I installed it correctly, but it was already torn after the first short drive. I was hoping for a bit more.
👍.
