This fit perfectly over my disintegrated rear shock bushings and was a perfect match for my needs. The following versions of the software are installed The 2002 Chevy Silverado 4 has a V8 engine. A 8L RCSB Base with a rear toxic shock unit Navigate using the Explorer tool My first attempt was to buy a set of universal bushings from an auto parts store near me, but they were not suitable. In the bushings I found, the diameter was too large and the shape was I had to use the hourglass shape since their shocks didn't have the shape I needed. My purchase of these replacement bushings was made on Amazon immediately after I discovered they were overnight shipping. I used 3/4-inch metal eyelet sleeves on my rear shocks to fit perfectly into the bushings, as you can see in the photos.
It was relatively easy to install. You should grease the shock with lithium grease before installing it The sleeve must fit both the bushing and the eyelet. Rubber is harder, so it is less pliable than these. Because I wasn't using a vice, I relied on the nut and bolt with washers, and a long 21mm socket to help push in the bushing, while I tightened it. It was difficult to get accurate measurements of the bushings, rear shock, and metal eyelet sleeves from the pictures I took. With this review and my pictures I hope that you will have a better understanding of the product.
Later decided to return this truck to stock and trade it in. The Bilstein 5100s are equipped with hydraulic dampers at front and rear. My rear 5100 bushings were salvaged, and I wanted to swap them into my 1999 4runner, but these bushings were needed to do so. I did not have to buy new shocks because it was a piece of cake. Those products don't seem to be going to fail any time soon, but I can't speak to their longevity.
The Bilstein 5100 comes with these mounts, which are designed to replace the smaller ones. It was necessary to remove the old ones and insert these with the help of a C clamp and socket.
It worked fine in my shock absorbers as you might expect from polyurethane bushings.
