It worked perfectly for me on a 2013 Jetta. If it's universal to all models and years of VW, then you need to verify this.
The problem was fixed on my 2012 VW Jetta SE, but I cannot confirm whether it applied to other vehicles. It's unclear whether other cars operate the same way. Although, in my view, this little part was much too expensive, it was still better than replacing the entire device. If I had to do it again, I would think about buying it from a junked car.
In this case, an automatic transmission should be able to handle this
When it comes to a transmission, yes

It is not possible to buy a bushing separately from VW dealers. Instead, they want to sell the entire shift cable set. My bushing was a bit bent, but otherwise it was in good shape. The fact that your company offers replacement products to repair only the things that need to be fixed makes me happy. As a result of replacing the bushing, not only did I save on cable costs, but also labor costs. The installation 15- installs quickly and saves money at the same time. Take 20 minutes to complete. It is definitely something I would.
Initially, I managed to get 3 sides of the bushing in, but the lip was too wide to get them all in. I used a pair of scissors to trim 1/4 to 1/2 of the overhanging lip every quarter of an inch and kept trying. In the end, it finally pushed through the connector after reducing the lip 3/4 of the way around. As I added the grease to the linkage ball of the shift, the ball moved smoothly. After that, I pushed the connector with the bushing installed hard down onto the ball with my left thumb until I heard a snap, and ta-dah! It worked! For my Jetta 2012 SE, it was very easy to snip a small portion of the edge with scissors. There was no need for tools or disassembly. If the cable does not line up with the pin or ball because it came loose while in gear or neutral, use the yellow shift override button located underneath the shift boot to ensure that the cable is properly connected. Best of luck to everyone, I hope this was helpful. IF I had not had to change it, I would have given it a 5 star rating.
Great product, awesome price. Shifter works like new again. It was said by Amazon that it didn't fit my 2013 Jetta, but it actually did.
The new linkage is a good replacement for the old one. Pictures don't do it justice. It is actually more complex than it appears to be. This part fit my 2016 Volkswagen Jetta (it didn't say it did on Amazon part finder). As far as I can tell, VW does not make this part and you will need to purchase the whole cable to do a repair.
I was able to install the bushing exactly according to the video instructions on their website. I'm 100% satisfied with the product. I have found that most times, the correct repair parts for my MKIV Jetta must be for the same engine, transmission, or trim Upon contacting the company, I was promptly contacted by a polite and helpful representative, who assured me that my vehicle would fit this bushing. I've now got my vehicle back on the road after I got out of a bind.
Don't waste your money on this bushing, I put it on and it did work for a week, but then it broke after 48 days.
It matched my 04 touareg v8, better than replacing the cable, difficult to fit in the hole due to the lack of space, but when it goes all the way in it won't pop out. I will see how durable it is.
Dear Sir or Madam, Thanks for buying the part it was fantastic, the shipping was fast, and I would recommend it highly.
