There is no info about the 2nd Generation, I only know it works on 3rd One is in my 2004 and I have successfully used it. The Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 dually (diesel) is a five-wheel drive vehicle. Exactly what the job calls for.

Oh no, this is a very heavy and large item! Because of the crossmember, it will not fit onto the Pitman arm. To install, you will have to remove the gearbox. The item was returned to me as soon as possible.

We did not have to remove or loosen the steering box to remove the pitman arm. Pitman arm positioning was a little tricky, and adjusting the position of the arm where tools and hardware would fit was necessary for it to work. I actually went back and reinstalled the tool after popping the arm loose as it took longer to install the tool. A strap keeps its weight from falling on your face, as well. While I may only use it a couple times, the money I saved in wasted time in other parts of the repairs was worth it.
