Questions & Answers

Do you think this will fit my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with a 4" lift?

Yes, this product is for Cherokee models 84 to 84

This is the stock arm for a ZJ. Rough Country sells theirs for a lifted XJ but it is for a lifted XJ. Is this compatible with a lifted zj that is 4 inches?

As a matter of fact, it now appears on my five. The only thing you need to do after installing the 9 Limited is turn your wheel to the right and mark where the front lower splash pan needs to be cut. runs into the end of the tie rod by half an inch, and I cut mine to be half an inch by two inches. How about your old pitman arm? Are you going to pull it off yet? Use an air cutoff tool and a chisel to whack the side and you will crack it. Do not heat it up, just cut and whack it with the chisel until it cracks then use the pitman arm puller to remove it. Hope everything goes well for you

Do you think it fits a 99 Grand Cherokee that hasn't been ?

There is no way to accomplish it without a lift of at least 4" high. There is no way for the steering arms to be short enough to line everything up again.

This would be the correct drop pitman arm for a 98 ZJ with a 4 inch lift, would it not?

If I lifted my zj 7 inches, yes it should go on my vehicle

I have a '97 ZJ and it fits perfect
5/5

I also have my ZJ The five RE springs are connected by a single one. It lined up the steering perfectly with the 75" Daystar spacers (5 1/4" high). Oh, and I gotta say that the instructions were great with photos. I'm assuming that we do not have to explain the instructions so I'm assuming that there are some great procedures for getting our steering wheel back in alignment. Though, a warning is in order. These arms are very difficult to remove it takes a lot of pressure to remove them Make sure you wear proper safety gear just in case anything slips on you!.

If you want new front tires, either drop this one or keep buying new ones
5/5

I received it the next day, very fast delivery. Excellent quality for the price, the very same one was selling for $75 more than I paid. I drive a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an 8 and a half inch lift, so this drop pitman arm decreases the angle on the steering link so it is parallel to As a result, bump steering is also prevented.

As a result, it's actually lower than XJs and TJs may be out of their depth with this
5/5

This kit is perfect for my Jeep tie rod switch project (to go from inverted Y to inverted T steering) A drop pitman arm may not provide a drop compared to the stock ZJ arm, which is already a drop by purchasing the stock ZJ arm, a TZ or XJ is provided with a drop.

I really appreciate the Installation was easy and the product was of very high quality
5/5

Besides reducing bump steer on the 99 XJ with 3" lift, I also added to the ride quality. They all broke while riding on the trail after installing similar drops made by other manufacturers.

I would have been close to ideal angles with 8 inches of lift, but there was one issue
4/5

it for my xj in the belief that I would have to use it in the future. In spite of the fact that I'm sitting at about 7, I didn't. 5 to 6" I have been using it for 8 weeks and am pleased with it. I found my angles were close to perfect, but it seems sturdy and of good quality. My only regret is that I'm not in need of In the meantime, I might hang onto it just in case I need it as a spare, or just in case I decide to go up for whatever reason. However, this is well worth the money if you are looking for a good pitman.
