It's unlikely that a 2 inch lift would bring you any benefit. Any alignment above the pitman arm must be set properly with a drop in pitman arm. On a 1998 Jeep Wrangler with a 4 inch lift, we installed the runner. This is a perfect

In fact, a 1'' drop really is a 1'' drop and that's all that has happened. I have found that this pitman arm has reduced bump steer in my lifted 4 rig. I can still see it in a 5" XJ. I have attached photos of my XJ stock Pitman arm compared to this product. There is not much of a difference. These are the tips Even after you adjust your steering wheel, it will still be out of alignment. I think using your Jeep at a light lift depends a lot on how much the arms of the Pitman are bent. As long as your steering tie-in is intact After you've re-installed the steering rod, make sure you adjust your steering wheel and tire rod to fit. In the new pitman arm, there is obviously more meat than in the old one. If your vehicle is lifted 4, the new arm will make a lot of sense. In order to get a more substantial drop, I would recommend 5 or more.
recently purchased a 1993 Jeep Wrangler from a friend who had done a lot of work to it, including lifting the suspension by four inches. I felt like I was riding on a white knuckle ride the first time I got the Jeep. My front end was rebuilt, which helped greatly, but I still had a lot of The bump steer that I was experiencing has gone away 99% after I replaced my stock pitman arm! My ride is now much more stable and I have much less vibration!.
That Jeep is holy mother of all Did you ever try to remove an arm that has been on a pitman for over I had no idea it was that hard. Two pullers were broken, but I managed to get it off with a sledgehammer and fire. A rough country just slipped right in and made everything right as soon as the old was gone. I highly recommend this part. If you're doing it yourself, wish you the best of luck and may you always be surrounded by the power of the Jeep. Though it is a sturdy piece, it did not line up properly, which meant that the steering wheel was out of center, so I was unable to use My stock pitman arm ended up being sufficient. As long as it works, it's great. My 2006 TJ Wrangler is made by Rubicon.
My '98 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) came with a worn out one. This one seems to be a perfect replacement. I had to remove the old lift on my Jeep (the previous owner said it had been 3"), but once I pulled it off, the installation was straightforward. The steering is now more precise and I have less slop.
This is awful. A part I purchased from this company gave me wandering steering, loose steering, bump steer, and the like. I had to pay for several alignments to fix my Jeep TJ, and it turned out to be this part. My replacement part is a stock part, and it works like it should, nicely.
The angles of the drag link and track bar are the same now but the steering issue is still there. I was pleasantly surprised with the speed of delivery and the ease of changing out the part.
Worked as it should have. This reduces my steering angle to something more like stock.
