What do you think about this for ?

The code provided here is strong enough to work with It would be best to measure the pitman arm to be sure it fits within the puller opening of your steering box. That way you will be sure it is not too narrow or wide for the space you have on your vehicle, but I have never had an issue using it on various vehicles.

What is the shorter distance between the nut and the bolt?

This tool has a 7/8" hex drive threaded

How do I know if it will work with ?

If you pull the blade, you will be able to do so. You usually can just pull them off when you take out the center bolt.

This worked on a 2004 Tacoma, so I can't be sure if it will work on a 2005 Tacoma (the hardware on the trucks should be nearly identical, if not identical)

I was able to do what I needed with this tool
5/5

It is built for one purpose and does that job It's only once I've used it, but I was rather surprised by the ease with which it removed the pitman arm. I figured it would be tough to get it off my 50-foot metal pole. The year is A steering box had to be removed, but it came off easily. You don't need an impact wrench, hammer, or penetrating oil to achieve this. The only exception is if you are a full-time employee If you're a time mechanic, you probably won't use this product much in your lifetime, but it's worth the small asking price. And for those curious, mine was marked "Made in Taiwan," but it seems to be of decent quality for the intended purpose.

The tool was very sturdy and I was able to use it on my 1988 Toyota pickup with no problems
5/5

Use to remove pitman arm on my 88 Toyota pickup v6. Hit it with a 20v dewalt 1/2" impact, then as tight as I could with a 1/2" breaker. A few hits with a 5pb hammer and Stock arm, glad to have purchased this after reading reviews of cheaper products. I've got several other OTC tools including an okay pry bar set, sockets, etc. I have yet to break anything with it. yes, I have Snapon, Mac, and Carlyle products as well. All of these have held up very well. Will continue to purchase OTC.

A pitman arm was to be removed from a 1989 Toyota pick up with this tool. My impact was incredible, and it came off fairly easily thanks to my impact.
