Those are kind of tough to measure because they're rough casts, and the ears are flat at the bottom while the top contains a taper The skinny tip of the ear has a diameter of A 180-word summary On the top side of the ear, they taper up to about 190". A 230-inch screen
Sure, that's what it should do. Adjust the jaws closely enough for the tips at the jaw to be just about touching, maybe an eighth of an inch apart. The object can be pulled down to a diameter of 3/4" or less.
I think so. A bigger pitman arm would probably be needed for my F250, which I would assume has a smaller

In the course of bending a loaner tool from the local auto parts store after having broken the tool purchased from a bargain retailer and got stuck while trying to install the tool, I purchased my tool based on online recommendations. As a result, this tool is much more versatile than any of those others, and it fits into places that the others could not. I tried soaking it in different penetrating oils, heating it, beating it, and cursing for days, but in the end it still wouldn't pull the pitman arm off. In the event of stretching of the bolts and wing nuts that hold the jaws together, the jaws open, which allows the tool to be popped out. Essentially, once these bolts have stretched, the wing nuts are seized in As a consequence, I gave up and assumed the pitman arm had been permanently seized. After seeking a new pitman arm, I could not find any results. Although it's a very robust tool, I'm still giving it three stars because it will probably work in most cases and is a strong alternative to the others. I couldn't use this tool for my old rusty pickup truck because it was too delicate.
Please be aware. Crossbolts are too weak to be used on bigger projects! To get rid of the pitman arm on my F250, I used this. The cross bolts and the wing nuts are only grade 2 (if Compared to the Super Duty arms, these may have enough power for smaller pitman arms, but the largest ones are probably too big for this puller. Luckily I knew to watch carefully, otherwise it could have popped off and rearranged my dental work (or worse). The wing nuts were right at the end of the bolt threads, and the force stretched and bent the bolts so that they started to bend inward. A reset of the puller did not change the outcome. My pitman arm was not rusted or seized in any way (West This OTC number came directly from the Ford special tool number, so it was correct for this Essentially, this puller can only fit a pitman arm that is at the maximum diameter of the puller. The arm yanked off like the skin off a grape when I replaced the cross bolts with slightly longer grade 8 bolts and nuts (a $3 fix). I expected better service from OTC, but it wasn't a huge issue.
There were only about 3 turns of thread that could be pushed by the pressing bolt, so I thought it would be too short a reach. The joint was separated in just over a minute. Turn beyond finger tight by 5 turns. To ensure that it wouldn't slip, I tightened the jaw closing screws with a wrench, tightly. Whenever I tried to pull something, my fixed jaw puller would flex and fall It would not work with any of the pullers in the service kit I bought from the local low cost tool store chain. The pulley is heavy and solid, good for heavy loads.
There are some really nice tools made by OTC. My husband and I purchased a few of their tools and I am pleased with them. The price of this tool may be a little higher than some others, but there is a reason for that. The product lasts a long time and does its job well. I wasted my money on something cheap. Don't make the same mistake. Tools available over the counter will get the job done again and In contrast to cheaper versions, it does not bend or slip off the balljoints and tie rod ends, as some do.
It is 46 years old, and we are working on it. Most likely I am attempting to remove the Pitman Arm for the first time. There was some SiliKroil in this tool, and it The loan a tool program sounds like a good idea, but I don't know when I'll use it again. The heavy duty model and the super heavy duty model are available. There is one thing I dislike about Amazon, and I am sure it is that. However, the measurements offered by these companies are not good. Although it was obvious that the super duty version was larger, how much bigger was it? Does it measure more wide and taller than the one you are looking at? As a first step, I was planning to start with this one and then return it if it did not work. I would keep doing this until it did. It looks like we both had our luck.
As I was changing out the front springs on a 2007 GMC Denali 4WD, I was unable to pull the yoke off the right front champered bolt. For some reason the left side did come apart, but it broke the puller I had used on the right. A second attempt removed this little part easily, and after a couple of attempts, the yoke came to a halt! There is nothing to complain about.
Mower blade adapters should be removed if they are rusted on. A big impact wrench was used to apply a lot of pressure above the tool, which worked perfectly. Adapters located in blades were removed because they were stubborn.
The puller was able to pull my 30 year old Pittman arm off of me In just five minutes, 250 people were able to join.
