For my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 5, I bought this. The 9L Cummins 4x4 drives this truck. As of yet, I have not been able to install it (waiting for new power steering unit), however, I checked if it fits and both the washer and nut are in good shape. I have updated Having installed the new power steering unit with this nut and washer set, I was very satisfied with its performance. It has not caused me any problems either since I installed it. As soon as the nut is re- inserted, it seems to click into place Even with my electric impact wrench of 1150 foot pounds, my torque is just fine.
After all, it's just a nut and washer, isn't it? There's a 7/8" 14 thread nut on it. The rear axle on my 02 Ford F250 4x4 is fatter than the OEM, which means I have the power I need with 450lbs The gear will also fit most other pitman arms in addition to Ford one's.
On my 2003 Chevy Suburban, it was nearly impossible to find the correct information on the thread and nut size that the steering shaft ( pitman arm) needed. I took a chance on this one. I found the information I was looking for.
I purchased this Jeep Cherokee xj for my Jeep Cherokee. The nut is slightly thicker than stock, which is a good thing since it engages the thread better.
I found it to be a perfect fit for my 1977 Chevy C10.
It was a good fit.
