Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use these with 2" drop shackles?

No, they're designed to work with a standard suspension system.

Is this a pair or a single unit price?

It's for a pair, and they're fantastic on my 2016 Ford F150. I tow an 18-foot cargo trailer, and they more than level everything out, and they're a lot easier to use than air bags. a lot of joy

I have a 2020 Ford F150 XLT Sport that I lowered 2 inches with the complete kit. Will these sumosprings allow me to tow my 19-foot jet boat?

The SSR- 117- (1,000 lbs. blue) 40 (blue) 40 (blue) 40 (blue) 40 (blu ), as well as the SSR- 117- 47 (1,500 lbs. black) ) stand at a total height of 9 inches, including the spacer and bracket. If you can't install the spacer because of the truck's height, you can do so without it. I would also advise using the SSR- 117- Only use 47 (black) if your truck is loaded nearly all of the time. If you spend the majority of your time in the truck while it is unloaded, the SSR-X is the way to go. 117- (blue) number 40

Do these come with all of the necessary installation hardware?

Yes, all bolts are required for installation, but some should be locked tight.

It worked out a lot better than I had hoped for! Installation Instructions: br>Installing the SumoSprings was a breeze
5/5

On a 2013 Ford F150, the installation took about an hour. The only issue that increased installation time was the location and difficulty of removing the factory bolts; it is recommended that the rear wheels be removed prior to installation. br>br>Execution: br>br>Execution: br>br>Exe br>When hauling, the SumoSprings significantly raised the truck's ride height. I put these in to compensate for the tongue weight of the travel trailer I tow (approximately 800 lbs). Even with the weight distribution hitch, towing without the springs resulted in a lot of squatting and dolphining. The squat has decreased since I installed the springs, and the springs absorb the majority of the dolphining when towing. Because I never have a problem towing without the springs, I can't speak to any increased sway or stability performance. With the SumoSprings installed, sway control was not an issue, and it still isn't. Overall, I'm blown away by the difference these springs made in the truck's performance. I'm extremely happy. Unloaded: br>br> br>When the truck is unloaded, I notice no discernible negative changes; in fact, the only two characteristics that I believe have changed are positives. I believe the truck is much better at absorbing bumps. What used to be a rattle and clatter has turned into a thump and dampening sensation that is quite noticeable. Body roll is the other change. To counteract body roll, the SumoSprings react noticeably while cornering. The truck is much more stable in turns, which I can only assume adds to its towing stability. It's great that it didn't change the ride height or the suspension stiffness. SSR-SSR-SSR-SSR-SSR-SSR-SSR-SSR-SSR-SSR-S 117- They're rated at 1500 pounds, so I ordered them. The other springs on Amazon have a 1000-pound capacity. These did not appear to be compatible with my Amazon truck. They were, however, the model number recommended by the SuperSprings website, and I had no fitment issues, to say nothing of the incredible price! br>br>Conclusion: br>br> br>I am overjoyed. I was concerned that the bump stop replacement springs would not be able to provide the extra support that I required. I wanted to increase ride height while towing, and my concern with the SumoSprings was that the 1500 lbs wasn't available until the springs were 50% compressed. With these types of springs, I was concerned that the squat would still be present. This was completely false. The SumoSprings provided a significant increase in ride height while also performing flawlessly for my needs. These towing applications come highly recommended by me.

Towing is made a lot easier with this tool
5/5

These are great for stiffening the back of my 2015 F150 while towing our 31-foot travel trailer. Even with our weight distribution hitch installed, the back of my truck squatted about 1. 2 inches. It squats now that I've put in the Sumo Springs. My only complaint is that when my truck is empty, it has a rough ride, similar to a 3/4-ton truck. It's not bad, but a half-ton has a much smoother ride. It's simple to remove and replace them. Before I tow my trailer, I'm going to have to put in some work. For towing, I would strongly advise these.

Spring has proven to be more difficult than I had anticipated
4/5

With only a few simple tools, installation is a breeze. A 13mm deep socket with extension, as well as a 15mm socket and wrench, are required. I removed the bumper and replaced it with a metal sumospring frame using an old air wrench. Without using any jacks, I was able to install the unit on my new F150 FX4 with plenty of room over the axle. It only took ten minutes to set up. I started by stiffening up the ride on my truck, then added some RS9000 Rancho shocks to help with the hop and bounce. Yesterday, I hooked up my 16-foot float trailer, which was completely empty. The truck only sank slightly, and the springs began to function properly. It should ride perfectly with the tractor on the trailer. Last week, while driving on the highway, I had to make a quick lane change to avoid hitting a tire casing in the road. The truck's sideways roll was nothing to it, and it didn't hesitate to give me complete control. The stiffer ride is worth it because of the excellent lateral stability and heavy load control. We'll see how long they last, but given their low cost and ease of removal, they can be easily replaced if necessary.

This is a fantastic alternative to more complicated air bags
5/5

While it lacks the adjustability of air bags, I believe it performs admirably. I used the spacers at first when installing these on my 2019 F150 Supercrew 4X4, but it made the ride too stiff. It ride perfectly unloaded and still reduces squat while towing by approximately 50% after removing the spacers. I would strongly suggest it!.

Difference Right Away - It's a lot easier to tow now
5/5

First and foremost, these springs were relatively simple to install. I was able to install them (without using a spacer) without having to jack up the back of my truck (2018 F-150). Platinum 4WD (150). I drove the truck without a load for a few miles after the installation. Without a load, the truck is a little rougher, but it handles large bumps and speedbumps better. When it came to towing, however, the advantages were enormous. The suspension was extremely soft before the springs were installed. Even with a weight-distribution hitch, I had a lot of sway and "dolphining" issues. Dolphining is no longer possible after the installation because sway has been reduced. existent. I only wish I had done this installation on the first day. Don't put it off. Do it.

A More Powerful Bump Stop
3/5

I haven't had the opportunity to tow anything yet, so my assessment is based on normal driving. The ride is even on small bumps, despite the fact that the ride height is unaffected. I tried both the 1" spacer and the installation without it. The ride is similar to stock when the spacer is removed. Because there is so little space between the axle and the spring, the truck feels bouncy with the spacer. The fact that the sumospring slaps the axle is something I don't like. I'd like it to make contact where the axle and the leaf spring meet. I just put them in a few days ago and will give them a week or so to see how they work.

They should be OEM because they are so simple! The box has been expertly packaged by the manufacturer to prevent movement and scratching
5/5

- It's extremely easy to set up. Remove two bolts and replace them with four new ones, and you're done. There isn't a jack, a lift, or anything like that!
- With less trailer squat and improved cornering, it makes for a much more pleasant ride. Driving is now even more enjoyable!br>- I would 100% recommend these in either the 1000lb or 1500lb version of the 1000lb version of the 1000lb of the 1000lb of the 1000lb of% It is entirely up to you.

Excellent product! These were installed in my 2017 Ford F150 with maximum towing capability
5/5

It appeals to me. I'm towing a 34-foot camper, and it's made a world of difference in terms of rear stability. I also got about a half-pallet of grass in the bed, which felt very stable and didn't require much squatting. I chose to use the spacer, which stiffened the ride a little but not enough to bother me. It now has a truck-like ride to it.
