The fire wall to the rear of the engine block is where this grounding strap is used. I'm the proud owner of a 2001 2500 8. 1 liter of suburban water There is no hardware included in this strap.

It's a great deal and it's an OEM replacement part! I noticed the ground strap behind the driver side cylinder head to firewall was damaged and barely holding (probably due to age and when the engine was replaced by a shop a few years ago) when I was dealing with some intermediate electrical issues on my parents' 2005 Tahoe Z71

Because the Gen 3 GM engines require proper grounding, and I prefer to stay OEM when it comes to GM and electronics for a variety of reasons, this was the cure for the problem.
