This bushing can only be installed if one side is sliced; it should come this way from the factory and be the correct size. It doesn't hold together properly once it's been cut. I finally decided to toss it out. It was a ten-dollar waste. They will not accept returns for incorrect fitment once it has been sliced due to the fact that it has been altered. There's no other way to put it on without making a change. It's just not worth it.

It's Simple and Effective

For the 25-year-old factory original, this is an excellent replacement. This bushing came with the slit already cut in it and fit perfectly on the tire carrier of my Bronco. It's a good fit and it performs admirably.

Slit is now included! It took me longer to get to the mailbox than it did to put it on because it was a perfect fit

DO NOT HAVE A SLIT FOR MOUNTING ON A BRONCO OUTSIDE SPARE TIRE RACK. WHEN I CALL THEM AND EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM, THEY SAY THEY WILL CALL ME BACK - NEVER EVER DID!.
