Questions & Answers
This is a GM part that I installed in a 1998 Buick Park Avenue.
I used them on a 1998 Park Avenue, and although the bolts were shorter than the new ones, I was able to use the originals. When I changed the oil the next time, the rubber had compressed enough that I could start and use the shorter ones. The original bolts' shanks were thinning due to rust, so I wanted to replace them. The new bushings are too beefy to start them when they're new, so they're only a little shorter than the stock bushings.
Unfortunately, Dorman does not have one available for this vehicle.
Hello, for the subframe, you'll need four kits, each of which contains parts for one bushing (an additional rubber ring is optional). My 95 Trans Sport is in desperate need of two 924- 924-004 and 2x 924-004 005 - Inquire of the person who owns the 98 lesabre; he should know more about it.

Bushings for the Subframe at a Low Cost! This bushing kit (924-1) is designed to help you get the most out of your bushing 004) fit my 1999 Buick LeSabre well, despite the fact that it was not designed for that model. The right equipment (924-) 043) is roughly three times more expensive, and the only thing you'll need to make it work on a LeSabre are different bolts (M12-M16). (dimensions: 75 x 90 mm). The bolts included in the kit are excessively large. Most applications with 2" holes in the subframe will likely work with this kit. br>All four of my rear subframe bushings were rusting out and allowing the bushings to pull through the frame due to the lower retainers rusting out and the 2" subframe holes rusting out to much larger (on the outer edges). Because these kits come with two lower rubber pieces each, I was able to buy just two of them in my case. So two kits were enough to replace all four lower rubber parts, two upper rubber parts, two upper retainers, and two lower retainers. I was able to repurpose some of the other parts and create a new lower retainer from large washers. br>I welded some thick washers to the top of the subframe in those areas to repair the two rusted out subframe holes. The washers must have a diameter of 4" on the outside and a 2" on the inside. The nuts on the old subframe bolts may spin on you as you remove them. Because the nuts on the two rear outers are not accessible to hold with a wrench, this is a particular issue. I had to peel back the carpet on one side and cut a hole in the floor to access one of the nuts, but I was able to remove the other three by applying a lot of heat to the lower side of the nuts. You can't apply heat with the old bushing in the way, but the bolts broke during my first attempt at removing them, which gave me access to apply heat and use vise grips to remove the remaining piece of bolt. br>I hope this helps someone else fix their LeS.
I bought a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville with a rusted out engine cradle/subframe that FELL down. No one was hurt, but I had to weld new mounts on the engine cradle/subframe and the car frame. Three of the four bushings/insulators, spacers, retainers, and bolts in the rear of the engine cradle/subframe were missing. Because OEM parts were prohibitively expensive to repair the car, I discovered this on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. It includes everything you see in the picture. The kit does not come with nuts. My 1998 Buick Lesabre's subframe was deteriorating, and the dealer's parts would have cost $100 for EACH SET. After doing some online research, I came across this product, which, while not technically for a Lesabre, fit perfectly. The only issue is that the bolts are a different size, but the shop I went to had the correct size bolts right in the garage, so it wasn't a problem. As mentioned in other reviews, if you get the bolts, you can use these on the Bonneville/Lesabre/Park Avenue/Eighty Eight with no problems. The Dorman 924 is a multi-purpose tool that can be used for many purposes The number 005 is also acceptable. If you have one of those cars, the Amazon part finder will tell you that this won't fit, but it will.
For the four rear subframe mounts on my 1996 Park Avenue, it worked perfectly. I had to weld in 4" OD x 2" ID washers because all of the holes were rusted out. As others have stated, the bolts included with it will not work. A GM dealer sent me four 15677731 bolts.
I replaced all four on the engine cradle to the rear of the frame; the ones up front by the radiator were fine, and replacing four was only slightly more expensive than buying one set from the dealer. They're a great price and they're a perfect fit.
Just keep in mind that you'll either need to find a new bolt or reuse an old one.
Now things are much better.
