Questions & Answers

Can this TPS sensor be used in conjunction with an E-code motor in a 1991 S10?

The application is not the right one. The Standard Products TH-A search page It should be compatible with the 47 or 48.

Do you think this will fit engine code "W"?

My luck may not have been good. I've got a 95 s10 4, but I'm not feeling it. The resolution is 3 pixels per inch. In the absence of what was on it, *w* ran more slowly. Thus I was forced to go back to my old computer. This one should be sent back once again. It would have been easier if I had just gotten it. The bad news is not so nifty. It was sheer luck that led to that result.

Has the gasket been included in the package?

Time is wasted
3/5

You shouldn't waste it on a NewYall throttle position sensor. I want to start with the fact that it costs less than did not expect this type of quality sensor from a factory OEM. Compared to an AC Delco, this is $40 cheaper. However, I thought this would last for at least a few months just to get me through. This is incorrect. Yes, that's the cheapest build you can get. This plastic is light weight and thin. Compared to the OEM sensor, it weighs a third as much. It is clocked 1/4 behind the OEM, as shown in the picture. Before installing it, I knew the software was bad, but I had to give it a try. So I installed it, started the truck, and it showed up in the DTC #22 list. This sensor measures the thermal power supplied. In the old one, no coding appeared, so I assumed it was the culprit due to the Now that it has a new sensor, the truck has even worse performance. Even better was that it caused my automatic transmission to shift as if it hadn't even been Garbage in its purest form. I would not recommend spending your time or money.

At AutoZone, you can buy the GM part
3/5

I replaced a part two months ago, and it failed after that. The case did not come with a maker's mark from GM. It has been reported by mechanics that cheap ones fail and cause misfires.

Buying is not a good idea

During the first month, the car started running at 2200 rpm at high idle. The dealership replaced the fluid pump in the car as the first step in repairing it.

During the first few months, it was a good part
5/5

It works great as long as you install it and run it. I hope it lasts 24 years like the one it replaced UPDATE In July 2019, this TPS Sensor started displaying high voltage at the TPS code. Cheap internals are common in this type of sensor. The OEM unit has now been installed.

The original is worse than the new one

You may see different results if you made the car run worse than it did before.

I installed it a year ago and it is still working just fine! Not bad for being 1/10 the price of local parts stores!.

It may have worked or it may not have
5/5

The repair worked because it didn't affect anything on my vehicle. Therefore, it couldn't have been a bad repair.
