In fact, this is the perfect solution for that application. I appreciate your support
In addition to being able to sweep 180 degrees, the machine can auto park itself. I installed it in my 1999 Grand Cherokee Limited and it worked perfectly. I love how quiet it is I would definitely buy from them again if I had the need.
It's for my 07, which I bought last year. I had to return this item because it did not fit! It would be in your best interest to purchase it from your local auto parts store. That would be too much trouble!
Since the first one I received by mail did not fit as advertised, I went to my local auto parts store and picked up the right part.

This item was very easy to install except it did not come with the gasket washers for the bolts, so I had to use the old gasket nuts, and some of the gaskets were missing from the items that go through the door to the wipers. In order to use some of the old parts, I was forced to use them. It should include a full list of the parts and pieces that come with this part, as well as the other wiper piece, to ensure that you have everything you need for the whole.
My 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee fits the following This motor is identical to the factory model. The mounting grommets and spacers on the motor shaft had to be used up. Project was relatively quick Remove the panel, peel back the rubber weather shield, unscrew the two mounting bolts (from the top of the liftgate), remove the wiper arm, unscrew another nut, unplug the single power plug, and remove the old motor. Remove the old motor and install the new one! Be sure to get extra Door Retainer Clips (part #6502991 on the 99 Grand Cherokee) because they are likely to fail over time!.
It takes only a few minutes to install. A piece of plastic that buts up against the rubber gasket/seal sticking through the body panel of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ) is not the correct shape. To repair the old one, I had to use the plastic part and the old gasket. As I found the bushings from the old motor to be a more snug fit, I decided to use them. The use of the old motor's components was mandatory, so it didn't receive a full 3-star rating.
One hour was enough time for my mechanic to install this. It seems that the outside nut is a bit tough to work with, but that's the design of the wiper motor for the 2004 WJs, not the motor itself. Overall, I am very pleased with how the performance is going. Now that I can see out my back window, I feel much better.
However, I found that the unit I was sent was extraordinarily loud when in operation. Several days ago, I had inquired with the merchant how my order should be processed. So far, I have not heard back. Unfortunately, this product is not recommended, as the customer service is poor and the product appears to be defective.
The motor has been installed and its operation has been tested. I had to restart it after hitting the first bump. Due to the non-complete soldering of the connector socket on the circuit board, it required a bit of work to fix it. This was not feasible given that I didn't want to deal with a return.
I sent back the motor that was on the box as it was for the rear wiper motor but it was shipped with the front wiper motor instead, I had to return it.
The motor was ordered around 5 in the morning after we checked local prices As I mentioned previously, it arrived the very next afternoon after ordering at 200 pm. Not everyone can do this and we were amazed at the quick service. My hubby installed the rear window motor after watching a you tube video, and it was not difficult.
