While someone else may be able to benefit from this information, I decided to figure out the wiring diagram on my own instead of waiting for an answer The ground wire isn't the only wire. There are four others. Observe the socket from left to right the left outer one goes from GREEN to RED. Use Low Speed for this purpose. is for HIGH SPEED, and the right inner is for YELLOW. As with yellow, the other wire that leads to RED is named P1, actually the positive Park wire, which leads to the I like the motor so far, and yes, I am satisfied with it.
In a nutshell, When I bought this, I thought it would be mounted to the firewall in the engine bay like a 1st gen Ram, but it turns out you can take the cowl off now! This whole project took less than 30 minutes, only 5 plastic clips were removed, 2 wiper arms were taken off, 4 mounting bolts were removed, 3 housing bolts were removed, and the motor bolt was removed. It had a weak old motor that could not lift the wiper arms to their full height, or even lower them again! My old swipes would just stay up and I'd have to turn it on and off several times for one full swipe to work.
This one worked perfectly. There was no intermittent, low, or high state to work with. not sure if the problem is with the motor, the truck, the design, or which is the root cause. I am fine with it, but the fastest "constant high" isn't as fast as I'd like it for super bad rain, but the car is 1997, so I can't complain. When turning off the blades in the middle of a cycle, the digital "park" location for the blades works perfectly. The customer is fully satisfied.
Considering the price, it's not bad at all. The plug and play feature made it easy to use. Compared to the usual motor, this one is a little noisy. I am not sure what this means, but it seems to be working. A reviewer on here gave this item a bad rating because the wires appear to be different colors and aren't matched I don't think that's possible since it is already equipped with a harness.
It was necessary to make some miner modifications, but I accepted them. I thought it was a great deal over local auto stores for the $ I paid, and it worked right out of the box.
My first move was to install it right after receiving it. The motor seems to be running quietly, so I haven't heard any noises from it. Added to that, no core deposit had to be made. The core deposit and the price were much lower here than they were at some of these auto parts.
I needed a high torque 12-volt motor for a project, so I found a diagram online, but it took me two days to find. the wiring to work and now it works like a charm.
The engine is extremely weak and slow when run at low speed it moves like a turtle when driven at high speed it is meant to be run at low speeds regardless.
It was a direct replacement for my Dodge Ram 3500. The connector harness connected smoothly and there were no issues. I am very pleased to have my wipers working again as we prepare for the rainy season in Florida.
