What if the directions say that it's for front drivers, but will it work for rear drivers? 2007 4Runner When it comes to the rear drivers, is it the same as the front?

It's difficult for me to know for I have had to order different ones for the front drivers side of my vehicles and any other doors that open. My suggestion would therefore be to contact the dealer and see what part number each of them has. Find the part number on Amazon and match it to the items. It seems they'll be different, but I'm not sure. Wishing you the best of luck

When I hit the remote all other doors worked except that one. I have experienced times when my door would lock and stay locked if I did not use Since it is a relatively minor problem, I would rather get it replaced instead of going to a shop or dealer and being charged a large bill. Based on a quick internet search, prices are typically about $185 and up with about a three-day lead time After looking through Amazon and finding this item, I took a short look at the shipping time. Since I figured "why not?" for the price, I figured the risk is minimal. Thankfully, it shipped the next day (gotta love Prime!) and I was able to get to work right away. The vast majority of things you need to know can be found on YouTube, so I was able to anticipate what I'd need to do after watching a 10 minute video. As much as I wanted to do my own, I couldn't since A) it was absolutely steamy today, and B) there are a million of them already online. The plastic housing on this one feels thinner than the factory unit and the foam padding isn't quite as dense. Side by side, they look similar however the plastic housing on this one feels thinner than the factory unit. Of course, for the price you'll have to shave something. In general, the installation went smoothly and was straightforward with the pre-installation guide The planning process. The setup was easy and everything seems to be working.

My previous unit was not functioning properly, so I bought this one My 2016 Toyota 4Runner has a functioning driver's side door lock. There is no way I would buy this product I had to ream one of the cable housings to fit after I found that the initial fitment of cables was problematic. We had to secure it with glue to ensure it would not In spite of the fact that the part seems to work correctly once installed, when you pull the inside handle while the door is locked it jams and you are stuck inside. * * * * Even when the lock functions as it should, the door latch catches and is difficult As a whole, I cannot recommend this to anyone, and if I had the ability to return it for a refund, I would do so there and then.

It's a good product, but as they say, you get what you pay for

After installing the door, it sticks a little when I open it, needs an extra push for it to open normally. I am having a hard time making it work all three lock ways, to make it unlock with the key into the door, otherwise it works well.

I felt tight and uncomfortable with this mechanism for a couple months before it had a chance to become accustomed to it. It seems like a lot of work to install the factory one and don't forget the T30 Torx bit! I would buy the factory one the next time, even if it was three times the price.

She can't get the door lock to work on her driver's side & They are overpriced and very expensive in a parts store, as anyone who has ever purchased these parts knows. Exactly the same product is available for a quarter of the price for a fraction of the work. Thanks to you, now I do not need to worry about her being unable to get into.

I needed to replace all the actuators on my car, and if it wasn't for the price I got on Amazon, I probably wouldn't be For this part, you can get it for about $35 on Amazon in an auto parts store, you'd be charged $150 or more You can get one for 230 dollars each! The actuator is durable and offers great value for the money. You may have a little trouble installing it if you are not familiar with this.

A few months after replacing OEM product, Amazon pricing increased to $$$ Dealer pricing

The only issue was that a small semi round plastic clip that guides a metal rod did not snap in place due to a broken part. The old clip was removed and the replacement installed. It took less than 30 minutes to watch and install a YouTube video.

The quality of what you get depends largely on what you pay

As I said above, I was expecting a lot for the price. As expected, I have been met with satisfactory results. It was necessary to modify the housing of the cable, and the door to hold it in place was I am not surprised that we have to slam the door to close it and to open it, we have to pull extremely hard to open it.
