Instead of pulling the motor from the unit and installing it in your Escape, you should just replace the entire unit. Furthermore, the Escapes are known to have rusty actuator latches after water gets inside, so it seems like the best option is to install a whole new one instead. It worked for my daughter's Escape, and the car has been trouble free ever

Due to the price of $25, I was hesitant to purchase this part, but compared with the OEM I removed, I did not notice any It is fun to time myself on build or easy install, and the most difficult part is getting the door open, which took us over 2 minutes, and with the drill and tourqe bit (t27), we were finished at under 5 minutes. In total, it took 6 minutes and 47 seconds from start to finish, including the time to start the recording and press the finish button. I would recommend this part if it fits your model and year.
