Questions & Answers
My guess is no, as every key has its own combination, so each lock must be keyed differently.
The best thing you can do is to compare them. Although it can be quite laborious, it is a worthwhile endeavor. But I bought this set for a 1996 and it wasn't big enough.
If you use one of the two included door locks to replace the tailgate lock, you can do so.

This passage 1. I can't tell the difference between the drivers side and the passengers side for those reviewers who can't see it. There is no difference between these locks. No matter what you do, they will still be there. -They are simple to use one- at a time (unlock) up A neutral is positioned in the middle of a down (lock). Regardless of which side it ends up on, it will still be a one-way system (unlock) up The lock is down (down)
2. You shouldn't let the rod fall through the door if you don't want to be an idiot. 1. *2. *3. There is no Ford key that works with this lock. The key that comes with it is the only one that works. 2. 3. 4. It is not a good idea to install the lock first and then put the rubber washer on it. Putting the lock up first, then stretching the rubber seal around it, is the best method. There will be enough space between the lock and the door and it will be suitable for use as a watertight seal. 5
You are doing something wrong if it takes you longer than 5 minutes to install both locks.
The only issue is a small one, but it can be worked around. It was just that I needed one lock and this was Awesome and so much for the price. I did notice that one lock works with both keys, while the other lock doesn't work with either. Right now, I will only install the one that works in the drivers door and will purchase a replacement set once it is installed or I will have the "bad one" rekeyed. As a matter of fact, this is not a big deal since my main issue is electrical and sometimes the battery drains, resulting in the key fobs not working. The dealer told me that the fobs worked when I bought the truck (3 years old), so I didn't realize neither door had a key till six years later when the battery died. The lock will be all I need for now, and this is so much for the price. I just recommend that you check the key before you take the doors apart to install them.
There are not many helpful features on Amazon because they don't answer questions well. My Amazon garage said these would fit my doors, but they didn't. I had to take my door apart to realize this. Amazon needs to work on their helpful features more.
It is not what it appears to be. If you have an F-type processor, it will not work The year 2010 saw 150 new residences.
The new ones I got are the ones I bought from the other company. After returning the item after the return date had expired, took company to task for not responding to my request.
Even though my Amazon check indicated that these would fit, they won't fit my 1998 F150. Since there is no option to return them, I am out my money.
Each lock fits on a different door, so you need to guess which one goes on what It is very likely that you will lose the door rod inside the door, so allow ten minutes for it to be retrieved. This lock opens with the ignition key I currently have for my Ford. Any one of the Ford Ranger keys will open the door so anyone can get inside.
The deal is off! Although the holes were close, I had to get my file out and enlarge the holes by about 1/16". It is not a direct fit, but they do work well in the end.
