Each plug fires after 360 degrees of rotation of the crankshaft on a two-stroke engine. With a 4 cylinder Tach cylinder setting, the display will be 1/2 RPM for a 2 cylinder 4 cycle engine and 1/4 RPM for a 1 cylinder 4 cycle engine. For a 2 cycle 1 cylinder engine, the display will be 1/2 RPM. The actual RPM of an engine is 2000 RPM if 1000 RPM is shown.

A high-quality tachometer of excellent workmanship and construction. I installed it under the dash of my 1955 Chevy because it was the perfect size. All of the mounting options come with the pedestal style mount, which I find very appealing. The design is very nice, and the quality is to be expected There is little to no installation required. Starting up the tachometer brought flawless results from the very beginning. My own personal installation of a one amp in line fuse (as recommended in the installation instructions) is That is a tachometer that I highly recommend.
I don't have any complaints with this product.
*Review of a product from Auto Meter**Review of a product from Auto Meter* **For the last 25 years, I have used Auto Meter products. Keeping in line with its previous model, Auto meter is now offering a no frills compact tachometer. It's just what I was looking for in my pick up truck from 75. Since the vast majority of aftermarket tachs are geared towards street racers, it can be challenging to find a no thrills tachometer. The unit is very compact and can be easily mounted to a steering column with a pair of hose clamps. Those with older vehicles will benefit from this. A unit with 6000 RPM capability would make sense since most push-out units do not have that capability About five thousand revs is when rod engines redline. The only complaint I have is that when I turn it off, the needle is not reset to zero RPM due to its internal structure. This is explained in the manual that comes with the product- An illustration and a schematic of the connection are provided. There is something special about 2891 because it was built in the US. I did not make this POS in China! A RF/

I really like this compact tachometer, it's very nice looking and it's of good quality. As for the size, it was perfect for mounting on the column of my dune buggy. Wiring was simple, there were multiple maintenance options, and the gauges were a perfect match for the Auto Meter gauges in my buggy's dash.
Thanks for this. I was in search of something just like this. Though Summit had a slightly lower price, I decided to purchase it from Amazon since I had a few other things to order. The number of 6k tachs out there isn't that high. It might be a little underrated A range to be appreciated. It seems like a lot of kids think it may be a good idea to rev their honda engines so high that there are plenty of 8k, 10k, 12k tachometers out there. Buying this tach was the logical choice for my 1967 4 cylinder because I wanted a basic, no frills unit. It is not my intention to rev my car to 10k in a 40 year old vehicle. It's an oldish), & Nearly identical to the green instrumentation lighting original to the car, the green backlight matches the instrumentation lighting so perfectly.
This is a perfect tool for older V-drives Under the dash of my 1977 F-100, the V-8 engine looks right at home There is no need to read over 6k and the dial doesn't need to be a huge size either.
My 92 Toyota pickup was fitted with this.
