In fact, I think it only has settings for four, six, and eight cylinders. Then you could not set the engine to four cylinders and get the accurate results
It is probably best to ask the seller that question, it does have a selector for 4, 6, or 8 cylinder, but does not mention whether it is a 2 or 4 stroke, just electronic ignition, old style points, etc. The Magnetos were not present
The unit works well with any 4 6 or 8 cylinder with an ignition coil or a tachometer signal issued by the engine
The engine is designed to run on 4, 6, or 8 cylinders. The tach adapter may be able to be used on a single cylinder, but it is not part of our current product offering. Thank you very much for your

Tach is made of lightweight plastic and looks great. China is a country where the quality control isn't very good, so I am sure it is made there. The meter is not in the center of my face when I got it. The wiring is fairly easy to hook up but in my case some of the wires will need to be extended. My steering column had to be reworked in order to fit the mounting on my '92 Chevy P30 truck chassis. My guess is that it works. Does anyone know how accurate the information is?.
It is difficult to tell from the product description that this instrument is not designed to be mounted IN a dashboard like a replacement tachometer should be in order to look good. "Mounting hardware included" refers to the mounting hardware which can be attached to the steering column with a hose clamp, or it can be screwed on top of the dash, below the dash, or in the middle of.
You can't beat the price of this product. It's great as well. This is the way it should be. My pickup had well-designed, not too big, not too small round holes on the outside of the dashboard just to the right of my steering column in 1990.
It is a bit off professional grade tools but it is not so far off that it is not useful. A 3 inch hose clamp would've been nice, but I don't think it came with it. The recommendation is for a column mount but there is none. Apart from that, it is a great product that is reliable.
Plastic is the only material used on the tach All of these, including the case, lens, and redline needle, were damaged. A toy might have been what I initially thought it was. The quality of the product I expected would be better for 50 plus dollars.
Nicely integrated into my dash, really like the fact that is is made of glass. What I do not like is having to dismantle the unit to change the cylinders. Also, pay attention to the red pointer while doing so. By lubing the gasket, it can be retrieved from hiding and get things back in order again. There is nothing better than vaseline for me!.
I purchased this to replace my Sunpro identical model - I am looking at the It is the same wiring and mount as the previous unit. This is a 5 star rating!.
Installing and using the Tach is a snap with no problems at all.
