I stopped at 1 on the hour meter. There is no way this brand will deliver its product in 9 hours. Due to this item's low rating, I opted for another brand. Since they are supposed to run for 10,000 hours, I am.
Located just forward of the throttle control, I installed this hour meter on my boat. The 2 & 3 inch hole was cut instead of the 2 & 3 inch hole I installed the 1/16 and the meter with no problem. It looks like it was installed at the factory. During installation, I connected it to a 12V battery to bring the hours up to what was on my boat. The meter can be read easily, and connections are straight forward. It's a breeze to calculate maintenance by the hours with this meter, instead of guesswork. The fuel consumption chart also makes it easy to track your fuel consumption on an hourly basis.
The program does work, but every so often it clicks as it rolls time. It is very inconvenient. Although to be fair, it's only going to be clicking when the motor is running, so you won't actually be hearing it as often as you might expect. However, it's annoying when you do it.
