The time meter shows the hour run time of the machine when the machine vibrates, and it remains visible whenever the machine runs. The Hour Meter gives you the ability to track the amount of hours you spend on your machine. There are 2 service timers, 2 job timers that can be reset, and Total hours are not reset.

SERVICE REMINDER Programmable maintenance interval service timer (SVC1 & SVC2). Countdown tracking reminder for service intervals. Job timer for measuring the time it takes to perform a specific task, like replacing the air filter or changing the oil. A job timer can be reset twice with the hour meter.

SET THE VIBRATION SENSULTY --- Programmable vibration sensitivity (low, middle, and high). This allows the user to accurately measure the vibration frequency of various machines. In the hour meter, a lock function is provided to stop time usage when traveling

Hour meter contains lock function to prevent meter time getting wasted during transport. When the timer is locked, it is equivalent to shutting down, no data is recorded, the display screen is closed, and the previous readings are saved automatically.

The application is easy to install, contains detailed installation instructions, can be shut down by the user, data can be retained after shutdown, has a waterproof rating of IP68, and is CE, ROHS, and a 2-year warranty.

I bought this to track the hours on a gas generator

It works as described if you mount it directly to the engine. It would not register the generator running when it was mounted to the control panel. It was necessary to mount it on the motor itself before it worked. In fact, I had even adjusted the sensitivity to three different levels without any effect. You need to mount it in a place that vibrates a lot.

The whole thing is useless! It was a waste of money! My God, I wish I could give this product a negative rating

I have re-evaluated it Despite reading over the instructions multiple times, I still thought there was something I missed. It has been two months since I was able to record one minute of use on this meter. A no-brainer seems like it would be a good idea. I believe there is either a secret to getting this to work, or it just doesn't work. The secret isn't hidden from me, I believe.

Adding this to any generator would be great

I really like the timer for my generator. But as the other reviewer said, ditch the supplied foam tape. The vibrations are too well insulated. My 2M trim tape worked perfectly for adhering them to the handle area of the generators.

Exactly what I needed

An hour meter such as this one works fine. To measure the run time of my compressor, I use it. My favorite spot for mounting the device took some time to figure out, but now it works perfectly. Although I would find it useful to have a master reset button, it works perfectly fine for my purposes without it.
