So, I'll show you how I set mine up. Positive from the battery to one side of the shunt, which ever side it is, and the other side to my inverter. Now, using the two screws on the shunt and the two studs on the back of the meter, connect the meter to the shunt with two smaller wires of equal length. Before you connect the two small wires, make sure your meter is zeroed out by slowly turning the small screw on the front of the meter. Connect the two small wires at this point. If you connect the wires incorrectly, the needle will point backwards; simply reverse them so that the needle points to zero. My amp meter now displays the amount of current I'm drawing from my batteries- mike- refrigerator mike- refrigerator mike- refrigerator mike- exc. I hope this information was beneficial.

For the price, this is a very nice meter. They should have included two 24-inch wires to connect the shunt to the meter, in my opinion. br>They would have no way of knowing the length required for your application, but I could have tested the meters for accuracy (I bought two).
I like the versatility, as well as how easy it is to adapt it to any situation and how simple it is to put together. It's a good precision. It's a tad on the tad on the tad This is something I would recommend. br>br>I like how adaptable it is to different cases and how simple it is to put together. Exactness is excellent.
