The distributor is made by Malloy, and the model is either YL or YD.

Is this set-up suitable for a flat-style cap?

I'm not certain. We bought it for our swinging loader, which had a pinto vehicle motor, according to the mechanic we used.

This was a simple kit to install, but it did not fit

The roto button did not fit in this kit, which was recommended for my installation. According to the phone instructions, I should use my original roto button, but this will not allow the cap to close down far enough to snap shut. Another call to Tecnician confirms that they do not manufacture a kit for my installation. Now that the boat is in winter storage, I won't be able to return it for a refund.
