I ordered The Sierra electronic conversion kit and a Flame Thrower Coil P/N 40011 after messing around with new points and such. 5 ohms. The engine now runs better than it did when it was new after installing these parts and simply bumping the starter. Install it in your boat as soon as possible!.

On the water, the difference between the boat and the people is amazing. My engine is a four-cylinder with a horsepower of 140. It now sounds like an eight-cylinder engine, according to some people. It was a good investment.

The instructions could have been a little more detailed, and they should have mentioned that you must hammer the piece onto the distributor shaft, but overall it's a simple installation that started right up and ran smoothly. I wish I had gotten rid of the points a long time ago. I strongly advise you to do so.
