There is a manual for the 5 speed. It cost me $200 for my mechanic to diagnose the problem for me (including To install this, he would need an hour's worth of labor ($150). I gave the socket set to my teenage son, and asked him to figure it out for himself. A YouTube video tutorial was watched for 5 minutes, then a "before" picture was taken (to track the spark plug cable connection in each hole), the wires were unplugged, the wire harness connector was disconnected, a 12 mm socket was used, and the old plug was extracted. This new one fit right in after lining up the teeth to match the one we removed. It looks exactly like the original part (auto parts store wanted $465, Amazon has it for $233. 33) It cost about $80 for repairs. I tightened up the 2 12mm bolts, plugged the wire harness connector back in, connected the spark plug wires, and lit In the 20 minutes it took from the time we opened the box to the time we watched a video, started the repair, cleaned our hands, put tools away, and put away the tools, a teenager with zero mechanical knowledge and no interest in cars did this on her own. In labor, we saved $150 and in parts, we saved $380. It should be an embarrassment for my mechanic. Are you sure $150 is ok? Yes, of course There have been times in the past when I have experienced similar situations that have gone wrong and cost me a lot of time and This one is fun and easy (at least with a Honda 4 cyl). It is better to do You are in my thoughts. I'm sorry, I'm sorry My only intention is to add to this update if this part fails within two For the money, I think it should last at least 5 years, and it looks pretty good quality (after all, the factory one lasted 20 years and 255k miles). There's no reason to think that we won't be able to squeeze out at least 100k more miles from Thus, we are still going strong if there is nothing new to report on this review. A new home was purchased in May.
This part is not for a 2002 Honda DX Be sure to take a close look at it.
5. 0 out of 5 stars. My Honda Odyssey 2 has a 1998 Honda distributor that I bought off eBay. A 3liter bottle. A code was being set for P1381 by the van. For a 1998 Honda Odyssey with 2, there is no mention of this in the description. A dealer called me and gave me the part number for the 3liter. After installing the distributor, I no longer had the error code. As of right now, I give it five stars because it was a good price and it fixed my In the event of anything happening, I'll let you know.
Purchase is not a good idea. I installed the distributor in my 1999 Honda, and the engine maintenance code was set off. With some interior parts not working correctly, it would not reset we had to put back in the original and order another brand on Amazon called Minguo Distributor for $80. 00. I tested version 00 and it worked fine without.
At 3000 miles of running the car with the distributor I found this huge surprise that is shown in the photos. This distributor is the kind with the horrible thing on it that you see in the pictures. It's a bit high for the price and I'd like to get it re-priced.
Almost as if they were made for each other. It would have been helpful if instructions had been provided. It is possible to adjust the timing by changing one of the two mounting holes (
one of the two mounting holes is elongated. The uninstall process could have been easier, but there were no installation instructions available. Its shaft is held by a drift pin that is not fully inserted into the pickup key nearest the engine. My car started up right away, and I was able to use the tachometer again. We will find out in due course.
I have replaced it with a working one. A few weeks ago, the car started, ran smoothly, and lasted about three I don't know why the distributor isn't sending spark to my plug wires anymore. Throughout the wiring, I have conducted tests. Having a new distributor is not a good idea. The distributor I currently use needs to be replaced.
The installation was quick and easy. I put a new one in because the old one was faulty. A leak does not occur. It has been three months since my last long distance trip and I still never have any.
