It's a check valve that works at low pressure. On my four-cylinder two-stroke, I use it. 5 liters with a mechanical fuel pump running at 3 gallons per minute 6 psi.

I connect three different tanks, each with its own universal electric fuel pump, to a single line that feeds the engine-driven mechanical fuel pump. There was no problem with the backpressure, and there was very little forward resistance. With only your breath, you can open them.
" It's fine; I'm using it as a "check valve" for an old car's carburetor. If I leave the car unattended for more than a few days, gas will flow through it. It's sandwiched between the fuel pump and the clear filter on my car. The filter is empty again after about a week. Oh, and I thought it came with 3/8 fittings, but it was 1/4 nipple with 3/8 thread. To complete the installation, new fittings had to be purchased.
For redundancy, I installed it on an experimental aircraft feeding gas to a Jabiru 3300 engine, with two valves and two fuel pumps installed in parallel. After about 4 hours of flight, there have been no issues so far.
The cracking pressure on this check valve is quite high. It'll work in a pressurized system with a fuel pump, but not in a gravity-fed system. It's also tapped for a flare nut thread rather than the NPT fittings that come with it. Instead of buying the fittings, go to an auto parts store and look for the right ones.
It helped the system to function better. A 50 yr. muscle car from the 1960s There is some leaking, and only time will tell how serious it is. This valve may or may not be the source of the leak.
On my boat, I used these. I have three fuel tanks, and having one of these on each of them makes it a lot easier to start the boat after it has been sitting for a few weeks or months. Standard threads make it simple to locate the fitting you require.
The operating pressure in the vehicle is between 55 and 60 pounds per square inch.
