The cover had to be replaced because oil was getting past the seals and into the spark plug tubes when the cover was installed by the OEM. As per the factory manual, there is a sealant to be applied under the seal near the timing chain assembly. I have been using this new cover for about 2 months now without any issues.

3 of the 4 spark plug holes are filling with oil and causing a misfire since it was bought in March. Spark plug gaskets don't keep oil out of the spark plug holes.

Our 2006 Nissan Altima has been running great since we installed this PCV valve cover. It has been almost a month since we did not have to replace it. The spark plug seal is now tight and there are no issues with getting oil on the plugs. The car runs well now. My husband installed it, and since then my mileage per gallon has improved even more.
