In the past year, I've discovered you have to use gasket tack to ensure the gasket stays in place. I've used fel pro gasket for 20 years. I have never had to do that before so I have no idea what they changed but I will never order again because this makes my job so much more difficult. My money will be spent at another brand!.
During the spark plug replacement on my 01' Dodge Intrepid, my mechanic told me that due to the fact that one of the spark plugs was saturated with oil, I need to have my valve cover gasket replaced. Among the brands I chose was one I was familiar with. I was not surprised to find that the item was of good quality once I received it. There are 3 silicone gaskets in a blue colour that make a good investment and last quite a long time. They fit perfectly and have no problems. To follow up after 6 months, I will give you an update. Thanks for reading!.
This is a great Simple to install and is much more robust than the stock gasket that came with the motor. Here's a tip for you If you decide to use sealant, make sure it is both for holding this gasket in place, as well as for sealing.
I thought it was going to work as expected and it did.
Product of good quality.
When I use Fel- I do not use anything else There's no better thing since sliced crack rocks than Pro gaskets! There was however a reason for giving 3 stars even though one of the gaskets fit perfectly, but the other had a small gap but it fit nonetheless.
It works very well, but the valve covers must be perfectly clean in order for the gasket to remain in place. Patience is a virtue.
