Genuine BMW parts are the only way to go. Since these are so much more expensive than the generics, they won't make sense. Each one is made from a different rubber material. It has a coating that almost looks like plastic and you will leak from it. It leaks slightly each time I use this brand, I've tried it three times already. Several others reported the same issue with this brand on Bmw forums as well.
Although, I am certain that this Valve Cover Gasket is one of the best I have ever used. Previous experience with this part and brand suggests it's of OEM quality. Doesn't cut corners on making sure I get it right. It is important to remember this moral. If your VCG needs to be replaced, make sure it is done as soon as possible. Having your brand new 325i sitting across the street, dusty, collecting dust because you neglected to install a part that you had in the trunk is one of the worst sights in the world Feel free to insert the epic facepalm here.
The old valve cover gasket of my 2001 330ci convertible had a bit of oil under it. In spite of owning it for 7 years, I do not see anything in the receipts to indicate that it has been Its assumption was that it was original and had been around for 19 years. Many DIYers have used Victor Reinz gaskets, as I have seen in a few videos. The grommets came with the kit, so I just needed a tube of RTV to complete the install. Instead, it would be best if you purchased a flat gasket that comes on cardboard and includes everything.
Rather, this is about Amazon having poor garage filters for the E46s. You definitely will not be able to use this with a M56 engine but it will work just fine with the M54. When ordering engine and transmission parts, you need to be very careful since multiple types of engines and transmissions can be installed in this.
The gasket for my 2001 BMW 325i is now as good as new, replacing the old ones that The old gasket was cleaned out and these were just glued on. I did not use any gasket sealer. I had to use a screwdriver to pry gently at the corner of that valve cover, insert my finger into the hole at the bottom of the oil filler and pull up gently so I would not crack the.
I certainly had a slow oil leak because my old gasket was very brittle. Despite the issue, the replacement part is of good quality and works perfectly. In addition to the outer gasket, you will find a set of inner gaskets for coils and grommets for the It was true that I had Ensure the area with the problem gets the high-temperature silicone.
A 2004 BMW 330xi was fitted with this gasket. I was looking for real steel gaskets with insulation and this was exactly what I found at a very good price. I am happy with this product. The installation was a breeze and the new gasket went on and off just like the OEM did. All 15 bolts for the valve cover gasket came with new grommets, so the product came with the spark plug gaskets. I will try to update after a bit of time passes, but for now I am satisfied with the product.
