I was able to get rid of my clearance issue, and the seal worked There was a clearance issue with my new Edelbrock valve covers when I used stock gaskets that were 3/16" thick (rocker arm hit the side of the valve cover)

It is not the right fit

It may be a good product, but the fitment is not correct. These gaskets do not fit early models of the SBC that used staggered bolt patterns. It was necessary to send back my order.

This enabled me to use my stock '69 SBC valve covers (stamped) on Roller rockers made of stainless steel. Gaskets from the stock race would interfere with polylocks.
