Do not double-space This was stacked to fix an issue with a misaligned header collector flange. It definitely worked as expected, I could definitely see how the 50% compression allowed it to seal the gap between both gaskets. It is important to note that these gaskets are easily broken Assembly should be done with care. I used these to replace a gasket that had disintegrated in both collectors of a high-performance car. You know, the kind that has Mister and Gasket in the title. As if I had a saltine cracker in my hands, I could crumble the old gasket in my hands. It took about 200 miles to get to the destination.
gaskets are thicker than the traditional ones, so at first I thought that they were strange. Although they were extremely easy to install, they provided a highly reliable seal as well. In my application, one of the three flange bolts is hard to reach, which means that it might not be possible to torque it fully down. The gasket is nevertheless very beefy, and it still completely seals.
Crush gaskets, such a great invention! Be sure to follow the instructions and keep an eye out for This is what I used on a three-bolt header collector for my shorty. The next time I buy I will of course.
I installed them with no more fuss than any other gasket. They appear to have squished properly and sealed just fine. Time will tell how long they will last.
Whenever there is an irregularity, they conform and seal it.
No problems.
Fits a 3 inch collector perfectly. Add an extra half an inch if your flanges are thin.
I like how it works, and it goes beyond what I expected!.
