The answer is yes

Can they be fitted to round header tubes with square port heads?

It is recommended that you use gaskets that do not protrude into the exhaust. This is likely to be the case with "Rounds".

How do I get this set up to fit my 97 Silverado with shorty ?

It is not. These are designed for the gen1 small block, suitable between 1955 and 1958

Can you tell me how thick these are?

The gaskets are about 1/8 inches thick and will crush down when installed – this makes them work great and keep out leaks. What I have found to be the best

Then, add this They appear to be very thick, so hopefully they'll hold up well and perform well. It's been too short for me to know about them.

There is no longer a leak in the header exhaust

It was having an exhaust leak, and the copper gaskets did not fit. This is what I installed on a buddy's pickup with headers and now he has no leaks.

A L98 350 has been placed on it. Has always suffered from exhaust leaks from its Fixing this was a great idea.

This is my favorite. They are getting ready for the re-start However, I have never had a leak, even when I put on a new set each time. Delivery in a timely manner.
