Zip-closing the broken pieces is what I like to do with a MIG welder
5/5

Make sure to buy high quality gaskets for your exhaust manifold. There are two per set, so you will need two in the end. They are multilayer steel (multi layer steel) and rewelded You can drive hundreds of thousands of miles on it. Whenever you do an LS swap and the originals are in bad shape, get some peace of mind by replacing with new ones. I don't have to worry about them lasting another 15 years - The free market. It is most common for exhaust leaks on these engines to be caused by the exhaust system's weight causing fastener fatigue in the manifold. You will often see soot around the bolts on the front and rear of these engines. My preferred method involves using a MIG welder to zip out the damaged steel manifold bolts from the aluminum heads as the wire feed won't stick to aluminum, and I then replace the sub-assemblies with factory style truck manifolds if needed.

I am sure that she can handle the job
5/5

For my Chevy SS, I bought a set of Kooks headers that came with gaskets. Both gaskets blew out within a short time. The gaskets on the stock GM LS3 are far and away more durable, as I learned after talking with several of my "motorhead" friends. After a couple of hours of work I had them swapped out, with no issues. I should note that I'm running a supercharger under the hood, so the exhaust gasses are definitely hot when they exit GM, thanks for the kind words!.

It can only be If you need to order 2 for both sides, you will have to order 2
4/5

My mistake. Wasn't aware of that during the ordering process. Putting the bolt in the manifold, installing the gasket, and starting the bolt in the head was one of the more challenging tasks. As a final touch, I rounded up the end holes so that the gasket could be dropped in after starting the final two screws.

As far as I know, there is no other exhaust manifold gasket to buy besides It is very difficult to find an exhaust manifold gasket that is as good as this
5/5

You shouldn't use the paper gaskets that come with your long tube headers when you're installing your LS bases motor. You can just buy a new set of OEMs and be done with it.

OEM gaskets are the only ones you should ever use
5/5

This product is only available from the OEM. This product is only available from the OEM. This product is only available from the OEM. The above instructions state that you should only use OEM GM gaskets, regardless of whether you are using the stock exhaust or aftermarket headers. Do not cheap out, do not repeat the project.
Don't waste time and money on leaks by paying for the right materials the first time.

Although it is a good product, the price is a bit steep
4/5

I thought I would be getting two watches for $16 however, I was only getting one. Despite this, the price went down to $8 a few weeks later. Interestingly, I've used the Mahle products as well and they worked just as well. You can get two for less than $11 each. could get it done all over again, I would buy a Mahle.

A more durable material
4/5

Designed in such a way that the manifold is put under a lot of stress. After market ones aren't as good as these.

Replacing parts with factory parts is the best route! This is a great gasket replacement for the manifold! My Tahoe had headers put on and I purchased Felpro gaskets, which failed me with numerous leaks, I've been an auto mechanic for 20 years or so and usually replace with factory specs the first time, but this was a lesson I They stayed sealed the first time, and after 200 miles, we rechecked the bolts, and they are still holding!
