It isn't the gasket between the intake manifold and the engine block, to be sure.
As I recall, you'll need two to complete the task, and the kit includes two.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. These gaskets can be made without any RTV.
I was disappointed to see that they were not like the Toyota multilayer metal OEM that I replaced when removing the upper and lower plenums while doing a valve gasket job; they are the typical "cardboard" type gasket material with the blue rubber like material added to form the seal, but only on one side.

The FelPro product is of high quality, and the gaskets were perfectly matched. Tundra with a 4 liter engine from 2003. On the side that wasn't sealed from the factory, I added some sealant. My old gasket, which I removed, was separated on the block side. They appeared to have gotten into the hands of the wrong people.
I recently replaced the fuel injectors in my 1997 4Runner by removing the air intake and using these Fel- For reassembly, use Pro gaskets. They completed the work quickly and at a reasonable cost. These are fabric ply with silicone/rubber inserts where the ports match up, whereas the OEM gaskets are metal.
A 97 Toyota 4 Runner 3 was the vehicle for which the order was placed. 4 v6. I needed these because I was replacing the valve cover gaskets. It's time to remove the intake. These fit perfectly into the intake runners with no overhang.
Not in the same league as oem. Not like the gasket that came with the car. The factory gasket is much thicker than this thin paper gasket.
I'm not sure if this is the only reason, but the truck seems to run a little better after these were replaced during a valve cover gasket repair. I believe it is smoother, quieter, and more responsive, with the new plugs, wires, and even the timing belt contributing to this.
I've been using these exact gaskets for years and have never had a problem. I'm a Master Mechanic with over 20 years of experience.
As far as I can tell, it fits exactly like the stock gasket and isn't leaking.
Gaskets from Felpro are excellent.
