Excellent product for fixing Ford V6 lean cylinder codes (P0171, P0174)

It worked perfectly to remove my lean cylinder bank codes (P0171, P0174) on my F150, 4, which were caused by vacuum leaks. I only wish it came with one more gasket for the idle air valve, which had to be removed in order to remove the upper manifold from my truck. On a high-mileage vehicle like mine, there's a lot of cleaning up of the intake manifold internals, which are coated in crud, but this is relatively easy to remove with brake cleaner. Note: It might take a few cans of brake cleaner to get it ready to reassemble. Also available from Amazon is the Dorman 55164 Intake Manifold Isolator Bolt Kit (best price). The lower plastic manifold is held on to the metal part of the intake by these bolts, which are prone to leaks.

Do it right the first time, and make sure it fits perfectly

If I may suggest, get gaskets for the lower aluminum intake manifold (which is why you're running lean) as well as a pack of the small plastic clips that hold the arms of the thing on the back that controls the flaps inside the manifold together. There is no way to replace them without removing the bottom manifold, and you WILL need to do so. While you're having fun, get some work done.

If only Felpro knew how to count, these gaskets would be even better. Only five of the six required gaskets were included in my kit. My work truck is now sitting with the top of the engine ripped off; why don't you hire someone who can count beyond five, Felpro? Perhaps a six-fingered individual?.

2L engine. Vacum leaks were fixed, but engine codes P0171/P0174 remained. This gasket is a perfect match for OEM gaskets. Also, make sure the intake manifold's isolator bolts are replaced!.

The engine is a Ford V6 with a displacement of 2 liters. A must-have for your list of four. If you're getting the dreaded P0174/P0175 engine codes, go with a 2L V6 Ford engine. Gaskets are a perfect replacement for OEM gaskets. Also, make sure the upper intake manifold's isolator bolts are replaced!.
