I ordered another box of 12 because I was not sure what would happen with the original.

Is that cylindrical thing supposed to be used for something?

With the EasyEVAP, one can easily open the flap of the capless filler neck using the cylindrical piece included with it.

You should do it this way

If you leak check at the filler neck, you should not really do so at first since you just removed the cap to install the tool, which may have caused the leak. However, there are times when check valves in a tank prevent filler neck leaks from being detected in any other way, and this tool is ideal in those situations.

The discs came with two of them

You will need to use the adhesive disks that are included. In spite of the picture showing a dozen disks, mine came with only two. On Redline's website, it is listed that the kit includes 12 disks. After spending $120 for a kit I will be able to use it only twice before I'll have to pay another $30 for it to be used again.
