I only put 2400 miles on it last year and I'm doing maintenance on it. Over the next few months, we will be spending more time outdoors As soon as I pulled the carb, I was extremely surprised. A pacer with cracks was taken apart, plate pulled off, and the pacer found out. My car wasn't running correctly, that's why I looked for a reason why it broke apart. I am glad it didn't fall into the engine. It came with a crack in it before it was installed after I bought another replacement.
I had no issues with my 1967 Ford 289 with this kit. To replicate the stock orientation for the PCV hose, I wanted it mounted to the back of the carburetor. There is nothing I like about Holley avenger carbures, particularly the way the PCV runs at It seemed like the spacer was quite flat and I had no leaks at all. It appears that the spacer makes the carb run much cooler. After driving for a second or two, the intake and valve covers will be hot enough for me to barely touch them, whereas the carburetor is just warm. The cons are In the universal type gasket, there were extra materials and holes that I didn't like the appearance of, so I used scissors to get rid of them. There is a downside to the kit the studs that come with it are 3". That seems overkill Over the top of the spacer, the studs jutted at least an inch above. Two cars were on their way to me, so I went to an auto parts store and bought them. The studs are 5" and seem to fit well.
Whenever I attempted to restart my car immediately after shutting her off, my garage filled with fumes, and she occasionally had difficulty starting I was able to solve those problems with this spacer.
It is exactly as advertised & it works well I'm in shape. Resolved issues with carborator overheating by transferring less heat from the intake to the carborator.
Upon purchasing this part, I discovered that the four holes drilled into the spacer were too close together, causing a crack or break in the dividing wall. As a result, parts that break off will go right into my engine, so I didn't want to install it the way it is. The bag had to be returned so that a new one can be delivered Everything is fine with the new one.
I found it to be helpful.
My car gets started quickly and I have significantly improved my driving ability with this phenolic spacer. I really believe that every carburetor should come with this setup for heat insulation and fuel atomization. I spent 35 bucks on this and I am thrilled with the results! Throughout Craig's career.
The Mustang was a perfect fit. It's a pleasure doing business with you.
