The Phenolic material looks a lot like Micarta, but is fiber reinforced. As with the Amazon image, it appears exactly as on the website. The manufacturer - In terms of material, I believe it is composed of fiberglass mat that is coated with 2 One part epoxy is applied to several layers of styrene (called a layup), vacuum is applied, and it is There is a big sheet that is used, then the pattern is cut from it or stamped. You've got some great stuff here. It is very rigid, fuel resistant, and heat does not conduct very well through it. Material with a thicker gauge is of course more effective in isolating

When I experienced the dreaded whine at about 30% throttle on my Holley Sniper EFI system, I used this to remedy the problem. The spacer is not only effective at eliminating the whistle, but it also keeps the throttle body far It is important to ensure that the ECU can communicate with the throttle body in the Sniper system. As a result, the bore holes are 1 3/4", which means the gasket will not interfere with the trimmer blades and air flow. Previously I'd used a Mr Gasket 758, but it started to fall apart straight out of the package and the bore holes were too small for the throttle bodies. The Mr Gasket went to the trash, so I ordered this rather than it.
Workmanship is of high quality, the manifold fits perfectly for square bores. A Holley 4160 carb was used with a stock Mopar 67 440HP manifold to obtain the proper clearance for the throttle mechanism. I can also vouch for its ability to reduce heat transfer and minimize vapor lock. There is some evidence to suggest that a four hole spacer can improve low end power and eliminate a rattle source A stumble while idle As far as my application is concerned, it did that for me.
This was a top quality product. I had to modify it for my use on a 1965 Corvette since this is a 4 hole spacer and the opening on one side is not enough for me. My solution was to gap saw the web between the two holes, aligning it with the stock aluminum intake manifold and making it completely open. I really like it!.
This spacer itself is a nice product, however no where in the description does it mention that the gaskets do not come with it. In the description of the device, a stud kit is recommended as an adder. However, gaskets are not mentioned. The first question that comes to mind when ordering is this one, so an update to the description of the product would be beneficial.
I was able to keep the heat of the carburator away from the motor.
Installing an EFI system on a Holley Sniper is a must.
I recommend you to buy it, you won't regret it.
