You should be able to use the 2001 Ford Windstar Tranny that carries those descriptions

How many pan gaskets are included with the "Kit"?

It was unnecessary for me, and it was not available. It's possible to reuse the gasket on a 2002 Windstar. After 200K miles and four filter changes, there have been no issues.

Ensure that you clean the magnet properly mine was dirty! A van with 98k miles on it was available

That's what motorcraft is, what else has to be said. **Pan bolts are 5/32 ( 8mm if you don't have SAE It would be a waste of money to buy a replacement, so do not waste your money on Please make sure you clean the magnet as mine was filthy! There were 98k miles on the van.

Description that is deceptive

The product was purchased late last fall and we didn't use it until this weekend, as the cold weather caught us. The gasket that is supposed to have been included in this kit was not in the box. Filters are not part of any kit, just an individual part. Unfortunately, you can't return it because it is too late. Going forward, I will always have an eye out for the actual product rather than assume it's what I expected. It's important for anyone thinking that a transmission filter kit includes the gasket AND the filter to be aware that this is not the case. We spent twice as much on a filter locally as we did on the $20 we spent. Gaskets are crucial, and without them, the deal isn't worth it. Unfortunately, this is not good news.
