The gasket is good, but the filter is bad

It was disappointing to use the filter, but I was satisfied with the gasket. This could not be used. My Oil Pan is about 3 times thicker than OEM, so I could not use my OEM oil pan with it. It had only two mounting holes rather than three like on my 47RH, but that wasn't a negative because this filter is about three times thicker than OEM. If there was a deep pan, this would probably fit, but the OEM pan is too thick and large. It is a good thing that I had a spare filter to use in its In spite of that, I like the gasket that comes with the.

For a 06 Ram 5, this is a good filter

The 9L auto has a manual transmission. With this filter, you will not have any issues if you change your fluids as recommended by the manufacturer. It comes with 2 different gaskets depending on the vehicle selected.

You should flatten the gasket for a day by putting something heavy on top of it

We had to use permetex to tack the gasket to the pan, and the gasket needed to be thicker and rubber. We used a small sheet of perforated metal to tack them together, but that was not sufficient to secure the gasket.

While choosing the correct filter should not be a problem, the 42RE appears to have 3 options, so I can see why people might be confused. As for the latter, I chose it because I know it works, and it's a little more robust. I just wanted to let you know that the included gasket is cork.
